Just looking for some input and always respect your opinion, especially on situational plays.
I'm looking at DePaul as a 1H play. Fairfield on 3rd straight roady. Big mismatch in the post as Melvin will take advantage of Fairfield's inexperienced front court. But, will DePaul refocus after bad tourney or do they lack the maturity/leadership to bounce back?
Any thoughts would be great.

Yes study forget about the writeups. Question when you have time about FSU-Minny. When FSU played St. Joes. here was I determined happened. Shannon had 4 offense rebounds to get his points. White 8 - 13 shooting, Snaer played his usual good game and Brandon makes 3-3 on the 3 ball. St Joes outrebounded FSU both offensively and for the game which I believe Minny will do also. Terrible 3 point shooting 19% really hurt and not great at the foul line with so many attempts. Basically I think St. Joes physically outplayed them but in the end poor 3 ball shooting hurt them. I know first game away other than a tournament for Minny but think they play in big stadiums all year and hopefully the NIT helped them last year. Should be a great game and Bre Hollins could be a big time player and Rodney Williams has really stepped up as a leader as captain this year. Hope to hear back to hear your theories as I know you know both teams.

Minny had a brutal travel schedule. Played in Bahamas Saturday, traveled back home, then down to FSU on Tuesday.

UNC has the athletes to lock down IU and I think they do tonight, may even pull the upset.

I played UCLA... it opened -16.5 and then moved to -15.5. At -15.5 I'm getting a full possession off both my projected line and KenPom's projected line of -18.5, and the spot is good to boot for a UCLA bounce back.

Wormhead - Agree but I just can't bring myself to lay 7 with DePaul. GREAT spot, but kind of an unpredictable matchup with such a huge clash in style. Think DePaul speeds up the Stags but this is a tough game to cap.

Bluejays - Cannot wait! Think you guys win by 4-9 points in a highly-entertaining game. Any concerns about a look-ahead tomorrow? I know the Jays are amped for a shot at revenge against SJU.

I disagree with you... UNC has a ton of flaw that a more experiences IU team can expose. And on top of that, it is going to be alot for a freshman (Paige) to handle. He looked rattled in Maui at times - welcome to Hoosier country!

I agree with 99% of what you said, especially in regard to rebounding. The FSU athletes are not fundamentally-sound rebounders. They rely on their vertical leaps to get boards, but against a frontcourt like Minny that has a really unique blend of bulk, height, and athleticism, that probably is not a good idea.
The lone concern is Minnesota's schedule. Three grueling games in the Bahamas followed by a looooong flight home and now coming right back across the country and into another physical game. They certainly have the depth to keep guys fresh, but the potential fatigue makes me uneasy.
Still think it's the right side, but not enough points for me to invest.

I disagree somewhat on Ferrell. Crean seems to be giving him a slowly-increasing amount of responsibility in running the team. Like any freshman, he's going to make mistakes, but Crean kept him on the floor late in regulation and throughout overtime against Georgetown. Quite honestly, they probably need him tonight for 25-28 minutes against a team with athletic guards.
Also, the Hairston loss might be bigger than it looks. His length and athleticism on the perimeter would have been tremendously beneficial in defending Watford and Sheehey. I'll concede that Strickland will take away one primary IU scoring threat (Hulls?), though Oladipo will do the same at the other end.

Yea I am really worried about tomorrow I would agree that they are looking for some revenge from last year as well. I think coming off of a couple of good wins in Vegas that the +14.5 on Boise St. looks like it will be an automatic bet for me. Possibly a 1H play as well could see them coming out of the gate pretty slow tomorrow.
