East Tennessee has a stud in Cromer, who takes over games. They can be an exciting team. I get it, but who did they play? Only getting 10 points to Florida is absurd though.
East Tennessee lost to UNC Greensboro twice. UNC Greensboror is an 8 seed in the NIT. They were also beat by Wofford and Furman.
We all know Florida is not a good road team. This is not a road game. This game is on a neutral court in state, in Orlando.
I really can't understand this line at all.

Locks, ETSU is a sloppy, undisciplined team, but they have shooters. This may be closer than you think. Similar to Gonzaga/SDSU, I would simply stay away from this game, and find another one..

This is a bad matchup for the gators. Badgers will control the tempo. Should be a good game.... happ and Hayes will be too much inside!
I really don't see Wisconsin controlling the tempo here. They certainly weren't able to do it against Virginia Tech. My only concern is Florida leaving the state of Florida in this one.

They ALWAYS control tempo based on style of play. Shoot late in shot clock. They don't even break presses to score. Gators will be playing much slower on Friday than they'll want. Badgers start 4 seniors and a all american. It'll be WI tempo. They averaged a crazy 1.31 point per possession vs nova on 52 possessions....of gators are gonna beat Wisconsin they'll have to out rebound them and be more efficient. Going to be a great game! Just see WI experience and style of play winning out.

Offensive rebounding and 2nd chance points is why the badgers are still playing
Without the 5 offensive rebounds that were all converted into points by Hayes a 2 point win is a loss and Nova is still playing.
Agree about the rebounding! If Koenig and happ don't sit for a combined 22 mins.... that game also doenst come down to the last 30 secs either.... imo.....physicality is the badgers game. If your gonna beat them your going to have to put physical them, and hold them under 50% shooting

I have Florida with 110-1 odds from December. I am letting it roll until they get to the final 4. I think they are the best team left in that bracket. Whoever wins this game will go to the final 4.

I think Florida may be too athletic for Wiscy. Wiscy does really well against less flashy teams like Northwestern and Nova, who they can dominate in the interior, I might be wrong in my perspective but I would lean towards putting Florida in a group with Sparty, athletic guys who can get out in transition, quicken the pace to counter Wiscy's ownership in the interior

Completely agree. Not only is Florida much more physical than Nova, but they have more speed and play with a lot of intensity.

Georgetown, cuse, Oklahoma, Marquette. All pretty athletic teams that they handled easily. At least much more athletic than them. While Florida might be a step above but still. Here's a stat.. 1-13, Koenig was 1-13 from the field with 2 points against unc. They lost by 15. Koenig is there best shooter, only perimeter shooter and one of the clutchest guys in the ncaa. If Koenig is himself that game that's right up there with a basket either way type of game. Unc is superior athletically to Wisconsin. But that doesn't scare them. They can play with athletic teams. What Wisconsin winning and losing hinges on is one thing. How efficient offensively they are. They can't shoot 50 percent from the stripe. Hayes and happ need to be a presence inside. Look what they did against nova. And Florida is without possibly there best player there center. Wisconsin can exploit that and work inside out. Post presence leads to open 3s for Koenig who is on fire. I like florida. I just don't like them in this matchup. Wisconsin is high basketball iq team, there's also something to say about that. There d will be there. I just don't see Wisconsin losing this game. They essentially are built for this after writing it in all year til the tourney started

I agree that it comes down to Wiscy ball security. Florida's half-court offense is terrible, they need to get blocks and steals and they're good at both. Will wiscy be able to protect the ball?

This is D1 basketball. Everyone is athletic. Most athletic player on that court will be zak showalter but no one knows that. It all comes down to style of play and physicality. One wants to go one wants to play deep into the shot clock. If the badgers are making shots (cliche) they cover and win this one. If not barring crazy foul trouble like that vs nova it'll be a battle....
Another nugget. For what it's worth Floridas 1st 2 games were essentially home games. This is the 3 week straight the badgers have travelled to the east coast (4-1) during those trips. This group of seniors are 13-3 us in their NCAA tment careers. Experience factor < WI.
Like I've said... this is going to be a tight one. I do like the under

If wiscy can control tempo and they do that by not losing the ball, then I think they establish a rhythm offensively and take advantage of their superior physicality to dominate the interior. And they can shut down Florida's weak half court offense. But Florida is I think more athletic than most teams and is very good at forcing turnovers
