Interesting line given how well the Grizz have played of late (and all year really). Oak+8.5...it's like they're begging you take Oakland. I know Valpo is good, trust me. Not on this game, but would love to hear anyone's input that has anything productive to say. Horizon league always has interesting games IMO

Ha, just looked over everything and watched Oakland @ Wright State and going to ride this cash cow again as I have taken them a couple times recently and don't see why they don't come ready Friday. Helps they lost by 16ish (just saw score and don't want to look again) to Valpo @ home as they know their "A" game is important to compete and Felder is the best player on the court which helps and hasn't missed a FT since George Washington was born (okay exaggerating, but you get the point). Oakland 12-1-1 ATS on the road as well and they can put the bisket in the basket! They score a lot of points and should keep this game to single digits at worst.
Took Oakland +9 (-120) for 5* - Typical medium/large wager, but would be shocked if line goes down much. Oakland ML is a LIVE dog IMHO. GL however you choose to play.

Probably too obvious as Valpo is tougher than a $2 steak and capable of a major tourney run, like Sweet 16/Elite 8, but Oakland isn't too far behind and playing so well.... oh well, only game I took was Oakland +9 (-120) for 5* - Public square city, but squares win almost half the time LOL!

wouldn't touch this spread, very tricky. i say that because of this! yes Oakland is one of the best ATS teams, but its hard to win on the road , and they are suspect on the road. in this game i would consider taking the OVERS 152.5. Oakland can put up 100 points by themselves. B/L

I posted earlier that I was leaning oakland. But when u look at what valparaiso does on Defense I think their style of play will frustrate Oakland as good as they are and win this game in the late 2nd half and pull away last 5 to cover the 8.5

You also need to consider, Valpo is going crush Oakland on the boards. Not trying to say who's going to cover cause I haven't started working on today's games yet. But it's going to be hard to cover when your opponent gets twice as many second looks. With Valpo's defense that's a very hard number to overcome.

Hahah we do have the same AVI, lol a few have said that. No I am not Mr Biggs hahah. I rarely post but I am 19-7 this year. I am by no means a sharp but I do all right most years!
Madden, line screams Oak so personally if I have to pick for fun, pulling Valpo cuz this would be a big home win and tourney statement...they have a great D to my knowledge (Hroizon league speaking G) Haven't checked Ina while but they were very regarded in KenPom stats for what that's worth. Too shady for me to pull Oak and too much chalk for my personal favor. Gun to head...Valpo 1H -4.5 lol

Or, as I mentioned in a thread yesterday, similar to Wednesday night where the Temple +8.5 or Syracuse +9 was real tempting to the public. Sure, Oakland has an incredible ATS record (11-1 ATS in road games), but Valpo has some pretty good numbers too--especially vs. winning teams (11-2-2 last 15 vs. foes with 60% winning % or better). Sure seems like Vegas is dangling a lot of points and that makes this ol' geezer suspicious of biting on them...Valpo or stay away for me.
By the way, I've lurked on this board for years, but avoided posting because folks around these parts seem a bit too snarly for me. But, this old man has some mighty thick skin and so I recently decided to chime in. You are one of the few folks around here I look for. Val already beat them 84-67 on the road so I don't find this line odd in fact I was surprised it wasn't 10.5 I see a similar score as the first game they played but I'll wait to play it because I see this line dropping because the public loves to take points

Valparaiso will benefit from the higher possession game. Bad news for Oakland as the struggle to get stops. They'll play right into valpos game. Valparaiso by 14 at least IMO, and I'm on valpo

Vegas knows Oakland's recorded ats and puts out a line accordingly knowing the public is probably going to bet more on the hot team. Give me Valpo -8 or stay away. All good runs come to an end. If Valp was -5 or less I take Oakland.
