Villanova vs Creighton

Let's see here.....and this is why gambling is so hard because on the surface I can't see any reason why Creighton is even getting single digits.

1) Villanova has 1 loss and has been crushing people at home.  Crushing them.  Home field is huge in college hoops.

2) Villanova beat Providence at home by 30 points a few games back.

3) Creighton just played @ Providence and lost by 13 points. 

Creighton is a very nice team with a stud player.  I just don't know how they stay within 6/5.5.  I can't see a reason they keep this close on the road, can you?

No one has even smelled Villanova at home.

I say high % Villanova covers, but there is always that chance they will not.

I don't get why this number is dropping as well, started off at 6, down to 5.5.  Its fishy,

Villanova -5.5 is my play.

I'm looking forward to see what happens.....

...now it bounced up to 6.5, like that line movement much more.....would not get it at all if it was dropping other then someone with a ton of cash knows something or books are setting at trap

This is a bad bad spot MCDERMOTT gonna put up 45 on nova.

Why is it a bad spot?  What factor, or just that they are playing McDermott.

Creighton stats slightly better than Villanova's. Creighton shoots 3's 7% better. Neither team has played anyone except Villanova when they lost to Cuse.

Any chance Creighton was looking ahead Sat. They beat Nova at home and Providence will be a distant memory.

And when Villanova wins by double-digits tonight Creighton will be wondering why they did not pay more attention to Providence so they could've won at least 1 game on this road trip. Creighton may come out hot and cover 1st half but Villanova will cover full game.

just an FYI....this game is being played at Wells Fargo Center in Philly not at Novas home court.

What's the reason, I hate when the move home floor venues.  Is this some sort of tourney I'm not aware of.  Play on your flippin floor.  Its all about money instead of wins.  Thanks for the note.

@daytrader -  Yeah, I see the trap.  I'm saying F it.  Its why I have a thread just for the game.

Nova plays 3-4 of their bigger games every season at the Wells Fargo Center because Wells Fargo seats 20,000 and the pavilion only seats 6,500. In my experience it does not make much of a difference. Wells Fargo is only 20 miles from the Villanova Campus and if anything it just makes for more nova fans to pack the building.

Villanova plays in different buildings throughout the Philly area so that they are acclimated come tournament time. Good strategy by Jay Wright and Villanova.

How can someone in this thread say nova played no one except cuse. Guess Kansas and Iowa are nothing teams.

teams on a 4-0 win streak (Nova) have only covered 53% of the time this year

Nova did go on a 7-0 cover streak earlier in season that ended on 12/28 and now back on a 4-0 cover streak

Creighton went on a 8-0 cover streak earlier in season that ended on 1/12 and since  L,W,L

Should be a very good game,for me its a no play

I'd lay the points.  Villanova is basically a wrecking machine. Creighton is a good team but Nova is just on a mission.  I'd be surprised if this stays within 10 pts.  They have another common opponent.  Both played at St Joe's.  Creighton won by 4.  Nova won by 30.

It's going to take a great team to beat Nova this yr on a neutral floor in the NCAAs.  Remember they already have 2 nuetral court wins over top 10 teams Kansas and Iowa.  They are the real deal.

Do you even know what a trap game is?  Creighton is the best team left remaining on Nova's sched.  They just beat DePaul and next play a dissapointing Marquette team in 5 days.  You clearly dont know what a trap is.  Oh yeah, you're a stupid GTown fan and talking out of your butt.

Yeah, Nova hasnt played anyone. Kansas and Iowa on nuetral court.  Both wins.  Great intel here.  Some of you shouldnt even be allowed to wager.

Creighton is such a risky bet away from home because the refs can decide the outcomes of their games by giving bogus fouls to McDermmot.

If you watched the Creighton/Providence game, you would've seen a phantom second foul called on McDermmot midway through the 1st half. It was a blatant foul on Providence and the ref called it on McDermmot. That also impacts the total as well. The refs tried to make that game go under but it still wasn't enough.

I was on the over but it was clear that the refs tried to kill the pace and give the game to providence with a single call.
