Here’s a few:

Nova unproven, first year head coach.

Nova shorthanded on perimeter going against 2 preseason all conference guards in Battle and Dunn for temple. 

Nova on road against a temple team that lost their opener to Wagner in OT… temple will come out desperate as the importance of this game increased with the loss to Wagner.

Nova missing arguably their two best players by the end of season (Cameron Whitmore and Justin Moore).. along with the fact that Collin Gillespie and Jermaine Samuels are gone from last years team… so essentially they are without 3 starters from last year and their top 5 freshmen recruit… 

That would be why the spread is -5.5. Now I still believe Nova covers because the major difference between these two programs is CULTURE. Owls have been underwhelming under HC Aaron McKie… Villanova may have a new coach, but the DNA from Jay Wright is still there with the current team… BOL

 Not even arguably,  Cam Whitmore is one of the best players in the country despite being a Freshman. I do fear we won't get much of him. Given be already got injured once, he's one more injury away from sitting out and preparing for the draft IMO.
