Yea u need some type of offense to win whole thing. Also if u get a game called tight they could be in trouble. I like them to make elite 8/final 4 but they gonna have to score to win it all

Their offense isn&#x2019;t the best. Granted. But they aren&#x2019;t terrible. They kind of remind me of the Utah Jazz. They rely on dictating pace and their D and just let the offense come to them. I like the Cavs to win it this year but yes definitely final 4 material at the least

All it takes is for one player to have the offensive game of his life on a legit team from the sweet 16 inward and poof, Virginia could be beat...these are all still kids playing a game and mistakes will be made by practically everyone involved...add the fact tbat Virginia too have troubles scoring at times, anything is possible....but yes their D is something out of a time machine from back in the day where teams used to take playing D as a pride thing.

Why do teams fall into their pace of play. UNC had numerous times to push the pace and they walked the ball up the court. To beat UVA you have to get them playing faster

People underestimate the virginia offense big time because of how slow and deliberate it is. But they actually have a pretty damn good offensive efficiency rating. They may not put up 70-90 often but thats because they work the clock on both ends of the floor which gives them one of the least amount of possessions per game. But they have very capable shooters and what they do with the limited possessions is actually quite good.

They actually have a decent offense. No, they aren&#x27;t going to trade shots with Villanova, but they don&#x27;t need that type of offense given how dominant their D is. I think they are likely an Elite 8 team this year. Would be pleasantly surprised if they went beyond that.

Virginia held those teams to 57ppg, while scoring an avg of 69ppg (&#x2B;12). Va Tech, FSU, and WVU also very efficient offenses and they were held to 59ppg. If it were easy, then every one of those teams would have adjusted with success. There&#x27;s a legitimate reason why they only lost 2 games by a total of 5 points. That said, I think Purdue, MSU, and Villanova are very tough matchups for them. I also think a team like Arizona could give the trouble bc of their bigs. At the end of the day, most any top 25 team has a decent shot to win on a neutral court. Hence the madness of it all!

Beatable team for sure. My hokies beat them at the pace they play at IN HOOville; That said, they are well coached and play tough defense and are better on Offense than most think.. You have to score to win, I see UVA getting to the Elite 8 and getting bounced by Cinci. But who knows, as Birds aid above it&#x27;s Marcb madness, anything can happen.

Rarely will you see Virginia take a shot where the guy doesn&#x27;t have a good look.  They see the most quality shots of anyone because they are analyzing the defense and wait til they are out of position or over committed. It&#x27;s just old fashioned smart basketball in a world of glory hounds.
