VCU -3 vs LSU: One of my favorite betting angles in play here, unranked home favorite over the ranked road dog. Rams are a veteran team that plays 5 seniors, they've turned into an elite defensive team ranking in the top 10 in points allowed last year. Offensively they are pushing the pace and getting out in transition keyed by their halfcourt D, as they are certainly not an elite jump shooting team. LSU 0-5 ATS in their last five games and 0-5 last 5 non-conf games. Home crowd will be roaring as Will Wade returns in his first trip back as LSU coach. Unless Shaq Daddy and Chris Jackson are still playing the Rams win this by 8+
Villanova +1 at Ohio State: Nice early season matchup between two of the toughest teams in college bball. Both teams will get in your grill on the defensive end, while at the offensive end it can be a bit of a struggle for both teams. OSU has been wildly inconsistent with the exception of Kaleb Wesson, Nova's role players from last year have done a nice job of stepping into the leadership roles while bringing in a talented rookie class to complement the upper classmen. Feeling here is Nova's defense is a bit stingier than OSU and has more weapons on offense especially with OSU missing the other Wesson brother to injury. Unless Greg Oden and Mike Conley are back in Columbus, Nova and GQ Jay grind out a W by 6+
Louisville -20.5 vs Indiana St: Pretty simple angle here, Louisville saw what happened to their in-state rival Kentucky last night and there is no way Chris Mack and this veteran team allow that to happen to them. 'Ville will be all over them from jump street, the 20 will be covered by halftime and the lead grows to 35 by the 10 minute mark, the backups are better than Indiana St anyway so it won't matter. No way the MVC springs another road top-5 upset and unless this is '79 and Larry Legend is rockin the nut hugger shorts 'Ville takes the Syc's behind the woodshed by 30+
