These small conference teams get fired up when playing the big boy conferences and I think ULL has a chance to win this game.
L. Lafayette (8-2) has won 8 straight games and will certainly come into this game with a lot of confidence.
One of their only losses this year was at (10-1) Minnesota one of the better teams in the country by 12 points (74-86). This is what you call a good loss.
Georgia is (5-3) on the season and just lost at home to Marquette (7-3) by 10 points (79-89).
Prior to that game Georgia played at home to a team call Morehouse (I kid you not) and the only won by 14 (86-72).
Georgia also played (6-4) Furman at home and only won by 6 (84-78).
I think this could be a game where the Rajun Cajuns sneak up on the Bulldogs and get the outright win.
I am happy to take my chances on a decent team that has won 8 games in a row almost getting double digits at +9.5.

These team both struggle scoring, especially when they play each other. In their last games in 2014 and 2015, they scored the following points.
52-65 (117 points)
62-59 (121 points)
In their previous 4 meetings the total points scored was 143, 112, 102 and 103 points. Only one game in their last 6 would have gotten close to the total of 135.5.
St. Louis is averaging 52.8 points per game this year and S. Illinois is averaging 66.4 points per game, which adds up to an average total of 119.2 points.
I like the chances for this game to come in UNDER 135.5.

Middle Tenn (9-1) has ripped of 9 straight wins and 4 of them were on the road. They just beat Vandy by 23 points (71-48) and while Vandy is only (5-5) on the season they are an SEC team that has played Butler, Minnesota and Marquette (no slouches there). Here is a clincher, Belmont played Vandy and lost by 14 points (66-80). You have to account for home court but in raw score that is a 37 point swing.
Middle Tenn just went on the road and beat (8-1) N.C. Wilma by 5 points (68-63).
They also won at Mississippi (6-3) by double digits (77-62) by 15 points. Are you starting to see the picture this is a good little team.
On the other hand, Belmont (4-3) has nothing very impressive on their resume. They beat Pepperdine, which is one of the worst teams in the country and 2 of their other victories were over (4-8) Lipscomb...yes Pepperdine and Lipscomb account for 3 of Belmont's 4 victories this year.....whoopee.
Last year Middle Tenn. beat Belmont by 21 (82-62) and I think this years team is much better and deeper.
The only thing that scares me about this game is that Middle Tenn see is only favorite at this minute by -1.5, but I expect that to go up quickly. I have already made a sizeable wager on them.

Thank you very much.If you don't mine, what area of the country do you live in?
Don't mind at all......Dallas/Ft. Worth Texas area
Warlord, I have a question. Since I have started posting I have gotten 7 or 8 friend requests. I have not accepted them, because I am not sure why people make friend requests. I told one large Player nice job on a large winning day and got a friend request from him. This was before I started posting and was still just feeling my way around the Covers Site. Now that I am posting and winning I have gotten several friend requests. My assumption is that once someone get's your email address you will start getting emails with offers from Tout Services. What other reasons are there for becoming friends on Covers. Do you have any opinions or recommendations on accepting friend requests?
Thanks!

Folks, I just don't think that (4-4) Princeton 1-3 ATS should be laying 8.5 points to anyone.
St. Joe has played a much tougher schedule by far. St. Joe results:
-lost big to #1 Villanova - no surprise here
-lost by 10 (63-73) to a (6-3) Mississippi Team
-lost by 6 (72-78) to a (7-2) Temple Team
-lost by 10 (63-73) to a (7-2) N. Carolina State Team
-Won by 14 (71-57) to a (9-2) Loyola IL Team
-Beat a (4-5) Ivy League team like Princeton by 20 points (85-65)
Princeton is (4-4) and does not have one quality win and two of their 4 wins were against a (4-6) Liberty team.
I think St. Joe +8.5 points is a gift in this game.....no matter how much smarter those Princeton boys are.

st joes has NOT played a tougher schedule by far...actually, not tougher at all...
princeton is rated 68th in Off EFF and 71st in Def Eff, while playing the 31st most difficult schedule....St Joes is significantly worse at both at 140 and 128 respectively against the 83rd strength of schedule...princeton grinds you down with their offense and makes you defend for 20+ seconds on avg...st joes may be competitive early but I have princeton winning comfortably in the end. g'luck on your play

Great picks Tuesday night. Just recently joined the forum and started following your picks and really like your insight into each game, very much appreciated as you have helped me make a few bucks! Do you just do college basketball or any other sports as well? Thanks again

Thanks....I will let my results speak for my pick. Princeton lost to California by 11 points and I do not consider BYU, California or Va. Tech in the same category as # 1Villanova, 6-3 Miss, 9-2 Loyala Ill or 7-2 Temple. Princeton collectively has play 2 decent teams BYU and VCU, both loses. I respectively think you information is flawed, but I am not here to debate. If I start picking losers, I will consider changing my approach. Also, I am very selective and do not play the entire card or 15 or 20 games on a small card, so if I make one mistake, I still do well. Thanks for you opinion although I respectfully disagree. If St. Joe loses, I expect to have 3 other winners. Thanks,

problem is Princeton is better than Temple and Ole Miss and this is a true road game. I lean slightly to Princeton in this game though
I don't think Princeton would be Columbia by 28.5 in an Ivy League game. I think the spread would be around 11. Hard to cover a large number when you play a slow pace. St. Joe beat Columbia by 2 (85-65) and not they are getting +8.5 from Princeton. 8.5 is a lot to cover and this Princeton team just lost to California by 11 points. I may be wrong, but it would not be the first time.

That is St. Joe beat Columbia by 20.

St. Joe beat Princeton last year 62-50. I cannot figure what has changed in the past year that will allow Princeton to cover a 21 point difference as a 8.5 point favorite this time around.
Princeton does not have one quality win and St. Joe has beaten (6-3) Miss and (9-2) Loyola IL and they beat another Ivy league team Columbia by 20, I may be wrong, but a 21 point swing in a year is pretty tough task.

Any local guys know why the St. Louis - S. Illinois game has been taken down. I already have a large wager on the UNDER. If it is a suspension or significant injury, that could definitely help the UNDER. If it is the weather or a terrorist threat, well.......

Question....if you make a typo in covers and type 2 when you meant to type 20 or make any typing error, is it possible to correct it? Or once you hit submit, you have to live with looking like a moron.
Thanks for any replies on how to edit if you can.
