I love Wyo and the points in this one all day, every day.

When healthy they are a brutally tough team to beat with that half court matchup zone they run. Nance alone when healthy is a step above all but Tuttle.

Given the record I would still pit the Pokes at 12 seed, but I sure as hell wouldn't have made UNI face them. UNI vs. the Hurley gang would have been much more fair.

But as it is, let's go Pokes!!! Should be a f**king fun game to watch!

I see this as a 15 point game. UNI is deep, with a lot of shooters. Wyoming will be lucky to put up 40. 60-45 type game.

4Totally agree.  I wanted to see this a top 32 matchup after Wyo upset a 5 seed and UNI steamrolled whoever they SHOULD have pulled.  Sweet 16 would be a stretch.Anybody who thinks UNI is just going to wipe the floor with these guys clearly hasn&#x27;t seem Wyo play when healthy.  They are stifling in the halfcourt on defense.  And UNI, a screen and dish pro-3 pt shot team is the perfect matchup for them.  I totally agree that this is an under 100 total pts kind of game.  And in every way that favors Wyo in the event that UNI is cold from the arc.And Tuttle vs. Nance on the blocks is already worth the admission on this one alone.I will not be missing this game.  Has potential to be one of the better 1st rd matchups.  If you like defense and one-shot opportunities that is.

This is a Wyoming team that put up 13 points in the first half against Nevada, 14 against New Mexico, and 16 at Cal. Against SMU they scored 9 points over the final 10 minutes of the 1st half, and against SDSU in the MWC final, they scored 0 points over an 11:30 span between the 1st and 2nd halves. Not to mention, this is also a team that put up 23 in the first half against San Jose State.&#xD;&#xA;I will gladly lay the 6.5 in this one. Wyoming and their ineptitude is going against the number 5 team in the nation in offensive efficiency. This will be a recipe for disaster for the Pokes. This is not a game they can put together a sub 20 point half and survive. Take the Pokes out of Wyoming, and you can pretty much guarantee a subpar offensive performance. Wyoming got away with one on Saturday to get in, but that may work in the MWC (which has never been worse in its history), but it won&#x27;t fly against a champ from the MVC. If Nance isn&#x27;t balling out of his mind, this one is over early. I&#x27;ll take a much more offensively efficient team, and one that actually has some solid role players if their big stud isn&#x27;t clicking.

You talk about the MVC like it was this glorious, unscathed league. Wichita State was incredibly underwhelming, Illinois State showed up when they felt like it, and the rest of the league was a complete nightmare.

The MVC was worse than the MWC in scoring, fg%, defensive fg %, assist/turnover and rebounding. So uhh, not sure where because the MWC was "down," how you think the MVC was anything better. That's if you're playing the you're a product of your environment card.

UNI had brutally underwhelming games against their s**t conference opponents. 50 pt performances against SIU (twice), Bradley, Loyola. An atrocity against Evansville in their 52-49 loss. They played five NCAA Tournament team's, with those being North Florida W, Iowa W, Wich State SPLIT, SFA W and VCU L.

That is a SHITT schedule for the exception of @WSU, @VCU and vs. Iowa. Now I still say you should give a 30-win team just a little more respect than a first rd matchup versus a team that is almost a CARBON COPY of themselves in Wyo.

Why so similar? When Tuttle has 3 or more fouls by first half, UNI is shooting 28% from the field. So sure, you say Nance needs to go off for Wyo to win. I say Tuttle needs to go off for UNI to win.

How on earth anybody can just dismiss this game and say UNI wipes the floor with Wyoming (with all of this proof of an even matchup) and when the parallels are so obvious between the two schools is just silly. Not worth giving you a hand shake for that either. You need to come way stronger to actually convince me UNI is this star-powered juggernaut hands down better than Wyo.

Remember, UNI shoots 40% from three, and that's from 7 players. The only thing I don't like about UNI here is they don't overwhelm their opponents. They have a tendency to let teams stay around for awhile before pulling away.

I think Tuttle will have a good game. If Wyoming doubles him, UNI should be able to get open looks from three.

Northern Iowa took the crown away from a Wichita state program that could produce two nba guards and has been extremely competitive nationally. I took UNI at +800 thinking that its the best future value on the card besides AZ at +120

Expecting over 70 points from UNI and for wyoming to struggle to hit their average. 20+ point win.

UNI will be a tough tourney team if they continue to shoot 50% from three. Their defense will keep them in games.

Tuttle is way too passive on offense. For them to advance they'll need to get Tuttle more touches down low. He has the interior moves to beat any defender and if he's doubled he'll kick it out to one of the 5 40% three shooters.
