I think UCONN came out way too high. Being out West, early game on Friday, -11.5-12 pts....can only bet San Diego IMO !

how many players are back for memphis from last years team? 3 or 4??
 
i think they shot 72% free throws last year in the tourney, could be wrong...
 
not saying it will happen this year, and i know last year is not this year, but maybe they shoot better in the tourney from the free throw line then they did all year - just something to think about...

  I like Davidson a lot and think they are going to be my sleeper. I like them to get by GT and then have a good feeling could get by Kansas, but I have Clemson taking them out and I don't think that Davidson matches up so good there against Clemson's Crazy D.

Dont be so sure about Davidson......I think they will have all they can handle with the Zags

I think they are for sure in the Final Four this year.  As always, a lot of people counting them out again, and undeservedly so IMO.  I know they lost the big showdown with UT a couple weeks ago, but that team is just as good if not better at Memphis' style, which they likely won't see at all in their region.

Michigan State and Pitt are both good squads, but neither have the talent to match up with or run with Memphis for 40 minutes.  The Tigers will wear them down and control the pace, and are just too good to lose to either team.  Texas is too young for my liking and I don't even think they make it there, but if they did, I'm not sure they have the experience to knock the Tigers off.  Stanford will get killed in the backcourt against them.

It's easy to doubt Memphis after that loss to UT, but to be honest that's probably one of the worst games they've played all year.  Come on now, let's not forget they've beaten tournament teams in Oklahoma, UConn, USC, Georgetown, Arizona, and Gonzaga.  You want to say they're a fade because of one bad game on the big stage?

fading Memphis for sure due to the FTs, Duke, Michigan State, Oklahoma, Gonzaga, Purdue (the froshes) and Georgetown (hate to say it)

I like the Kent plays as we were really clicking on all cylinders in that MAC Championship and we have great senior leadership from Mike Scott who really knows how to get the best out of his teammates.  Saint Mary's doesnt impress me too much.  I believe Purdue unlike most people on here could make a run to the elite 8 I think there style causes matchup problems.  And I believe UConn is built for a run.

Well, me personally I'm not saying anything about the Tennessee game. I'm saying to fade them because of their FT shooting and erratic play. I think a team will knock them off before the Final Four based on these factors. They are extremely talented, BUT, they are also extremely poor FT shooters and the schoolyard style eventually catches up with you in the tourney.

Kansas State - finished conference play with a big thud, losing 6 of their last 9, going 1-8 ATS.  Deteriorating guard play, horrible defense, and lack of chemistry have doomed this team.  Clent Stewart vs OJ Mayo??  Puh-lease. 
 
Betting against KSU has been easy money.

I love it, especially coming from a K-State fan! I like the way USC has been playing, finished pretty strong. Looks like a good play to me...

I will continue fading Arizona.  Worked pretty well the last half of the year except for their games against Oregon State.  Temple is my favorite 1st round pick at +7.  Can't wait for the tourney to start.

I say UConn... I know a lot of people disagree but why...

They are 7-4 on the road 4 of the wins include... 3 point win against central florida, 1 point win vs cinci, 2 point win vs cuse, 1 point buzzer beater win vs south florida.

They are 1-3 on neutral court this year with the only win against Gardner-Webb.  Losses to Memphis, Gonzaga, WVU (all decent teams, all tournament caliber teams)

They are 1-5 away from home against top 25 opponents.  I am not saying they are going to lose in the first round (although it could be a very interesting game.)  They struggle to defend the 3 and if Drake advances and is hitting from deep... look out.

That being said UConn has the athleticism to make a run, but it is hard to turn away from their 8-7 record away from Gampel/Hartford

Well, remember that nebraska game AT ayunem?  Yeah....

Anyway, they have a decent enough inside presence with Davis, Carter and Jones, but tournament time is about guard play.  Does Sloan or Kirk put the fear in you?  I bet those mormons aren't real concerned, either...

I really think they got shafted from the tournament committee....They get a 7 seed first of all, then they have to play in Alabama

Boy...all you Memphis faders...just because they can't make free throws??  
 
Hell they won't have to make free throws in the 1st 2 rounds.  They will drill UTA and either Miss St or Oregon. 
 
If it's Miss St...they don't shoot the 3 very well Hansbrough is about the only one  that can hit 'em at all.  They won't drive the lane on Memphis and Dorsey will shut down Rhodes...so how are they going to score? 
 
Play an up tempo game with Memphis...they'll get run off the court.
 
If it's Oregon...well they love to run...plays right into Memphis's hands because they love to run too...and the difference is...Memphis plays defense...Oregon doesn't.
 
So if your going to fade the Tigers you'd better wait till the 2nd weekend to do it and only if it's PItt...cause Michigan State sucks.
