Question

I&#x27;m taking Wisconsin in this one. Minnesota has three key guys out. Minnesota has only beaten two legitimate teams all season. Wisconsin dropped two to Minnesota last year and they&#x27;re looking for revenge. Also, Jon Leur of the Badgers is returning to the lineup tonight after a broken wrist in January. Leur was a highly touted kid out of a Twin City high school that many Minnesotan&#x27;s as well as Tubby Douchebag Smith thought recruiting him would be a no brainer. Wisky is having an excellent year as they&#x27;re now ranked at 14th and winning this game will give them their 20th and assure a bid to the dance.

minny arent missing three key guys ... those guys have been out all year ... but either way the badgers is the only play .. minny 0-8 ats in last eight are shit .. most highschool teams can beat them .. the badge will roll .. bohannon is incredible and leuer is good .. he wont be as good as before he got injured for a couple games .. but bring him off the bench and he&#x27;ll only help the badge tonight .. ease him in slowly ..

I stand corrected. Minnesotans Jon Leuer, Jordan Taylor, Mike Bruesewitz and Jared Berggren all play for Wisconsin. Smith has done an awful job of getting talent.

hey man couldn&#x27;t agree with you more--  Gophers let a lot of kids get away...  I coach bball in Minny &amp; one of the stud juniors in Minnesota is gonna be playing for the Badgers in 2 years.Tubby writes letters, but never gets in contact with the guys and the assistants do an aweful job of recruiting.  Badgers assistant coach has been to 2 practices this season already &amp; that&#x27;s how these guys get all of our in-state recruits.  Brueswitz didn&#x27;t even get a look from Minnesota and he was dominating the Metro all season!Royce white has been out all year he left the school for heavens sake!! Nolen is academically ineligable- has been for awhile now!I think the Gophers will actually keep this tough, the in-state rivalry always proves as a tough matchup, but Wisconsin is the better team &amp; I&#x27;ll take the better team for sure.

I just moved away from there after living in Minneapolis for 20&#x2B; years. Until the AD Maturi is fired, Smith and Brewster are keeping their jobs which means mediocrity.

&#xD;&#xA;All the above where either before Tubby Smith started recruiting for the Gophers or they were already commited to Wisc.&#xD;&#xA;I am not arguing that his recruiting for 2011 will be less than stellar as he has shown he doesn&#x27;t stand up for his players with Royce White and they have now gone backwards from virtually the same player they had in the 2008-2009 season.

kvegas couldn&#x27;t agree more, but vegas won&#x27;t be playing on the court tonight...  I used the same reasoning against NW on sunday &amp; for most the game Minny was the better team.Wisconsin is not Northwestern...  Gophers will play extremely tough &amp; won&#x27;t be easy, but going with the better team.  You&#x27;re right the stats ATS for the Gophers are going to change sooner or later, but a lot is going into that instead of the teams that are playing on the floor.  I would unload on this game for Wisconisin if I didn&#x27;t have any discipline, but anything can happen- just like this game a lot &amp; if I&#x27;m wrong I&#x27;ll gladly move on to the next game

cipahepalo... agree man. Tubby was seen with Royce at a hopkins game earlier in the season & now he has & wants nothing to do with him. Tubby & the staff are great guys, just was expecting a lot more in terms of recruiting--

Williams is a sick athlete, but we need athletes that can shoot, defend & do it all. Royce & mbawke could have helped a ton though & to tubby's defense you can't predict that a kid is gonna go to mall of america and shoplift & get himself suspended for the season...

It will be interesting to see what kind of class comes in next year because i'm ready to see some of the teams he got while in Kentucky!

Smith hoping that bigger means better

Smith hopes a significant lineup change will reverse the Gophers' downward slide. He said Wednesday morning that he will likely start 6-11 center Colton Iverson along with 6-11 Ralph Sampson III when the Gophers face No. 14 Wisconsin on Thursday at Williams Arena.

Smith said the altered lineup will allow Sampson (8.2 points and 6.1 rebounds per game) and Iverson (4.0 points and 4.3 rebounds) to play where they're most comfortable.

It looks like Tubby is grasping at anything right now.

so easy to look at this line and want to jump all over the badgers.

Minn is not a bad team, they just have not played well of late. Like I said, against the big ten elite teams at home they have done very well.

Add that this is the biggest game every year for the gophers, and the Barn will be rocking.
