With 19 seconds left…..

Down 2. You get to the rim! You either tie the game, get to the line or you have time to foul and extend the game. Absolutely no reason to dribble out 19 seconds and not even get a shot up. Sampson is a HOF coach but that was his only chance at a natty and they blew it. Congrats to UF but that was abysmal

 They were hanging outside 3 point line for too long. Set a play or have the guard drive to the rim and attempt a shot or draw a foul.

 Well the game was in the 60’s. That’s what you needed if your UH. They just stalled too much on offense down the stretch

In general Houston's offense is abysmal!!! You could see as 2nd half progressed plus Florida's length was too much to overcome for a small team like Houston.

 Basketball 101 days down 2 with 19 seconds you don’t dribble the clock out. You go quick in case you don’t score then you can foul and extend the game. Obviously none of us are better coaches than kelvin sampson but that was terrible. He would probably even admit that himself 

I wonder if Aberdeen had hit both FTs and they were up 3 instead of 2 would Golden have told them to just foul and prevent a game tying 3. I probably would have done that Houston isn't a great FT shooting team

You’re Exactly right. Going for the win was the only play there given the foul situation but terrible execution. I thought Aberdeen slid his pivot foot before getting fouled. Great game, shitty ending.

 Not sure what golden would have done had they been up 3. With 19 seconds you probably play it straight up honestly. 

Possession before that they should have gone with urgency.. saves the shot clock ensuring UH gets the last possession. That was poor all the way around balls bouncing off knees, guys forcing bad shots, really bad fouls, bad FT attempts.  Credit both defenses, the offenses were both completely rattled down the stretch.
