Ok folks.
Which is more impressive:
Beating a team which is perennially in the tournament, that is a more than well-seasoned tournament team (had one of the great runs with Kemba Walker), different players and some different coaches yes, but the spirit and legacy of their tournament play and experience (which carries over for some players) is not lost on these players, +
UConn is playing a default home game because they put the tourney in Connecticut (I wonder why? Maybe because the divisions best tournament team in terms of history would have a better shot?) +
In a game UConn didn't lead for a single SECOND +
UConn just showed the power of the conference throwing it a bone by knocking off a flawed but better Houston team the game before (handily);
And compare this to BWS's more impressive win, per his opinion:
They beat UCF, a top defensive team in the country. And that's about t.
I wonder which is better?
I don't normally quote AAC stats like 'best defense' in the country because you are beating up TOTAL CRAP in Tulane and East Carolina and South Florida (2 of the worst 3 teams in the nation from a recognizable conference and USF may be the worst at this point) and Temple who fell off drastically, and Tulsa, another pushover on many nights.
That is why I focused on the out of conference schedule in the OP while BWS hoots and hollers about the in-conference 'best defense', and UCF feasted off these bottom-feeders.
UCF was JUST HAPPY TO BE THERE, having gotten knocked off by Tulane last year in an woefully embarrassing first round loss.
Now who had the more impressive win yesterday?
You can toot the SMU horn as I know you will continue to but I'll let others decide for themselves.
Thanks to all the above.

That is a legitimate take. I did consider that.

2017 Record: 6-10
Bad record but 3 in a row hit so far and my goal is to somehow win another 4 in a row. Let's try it together.
This game is at the Palisades in Pennsylvania and will be played at 12pm EST.
What is the angle? It is this:
1. "The Ivy League has NEVER had a conference tournament before this year, therefore, players and coaches are unprepared for it."
Coaches are unprepared for it? Amaker and Donahue have coached in these events at their prior schools. And those were the two who got knocked out yesterday.
Nice try though.

Nice try? Having ANY experience at prior and having annual experience are two different things all in a conference that has never had a conference tournament. Tough to turn it around after all those years and get these kids motivated for a win ASAP. There are many other angles in the OP as I've said a billion times.
Addicted - We don't have to win. All that you said doesn't necessarily justify the spread of 7. That is the crux of this. I'm looking for a close game. That's about it and 7 is a nice number to have. I'd like 10-11 but I can't get it so I'll take the 7.
