i didnt watch missouri play untill late in the year and when i finally saw them play i was shocked that i had not heard more about them. This team is legit. Big strong and athletic. I am leaning towards them in this match up right nwo but still not 100 percent sure.

Did anyone hear MISSOU coach on ESPN 1take...Even he i expecting a high scoring affair in the 160s. both of these teams are atheletic and can run run run...This is simply anyones game with point so Im taking the OVER...and will watch the nets burn up all night

Gonna wait till halftime on this one. Mizzu has shown throughout the year that they tend to get off to a slow start. If they are down 5-7+ points at the half, will onload on them in the 2nd. If I had to take a team for the game it would be Mizzu on the ML. Memphis 1st round game was scary, Mizzu can play some really good lock down D.

Love this matchup and I consider the best CBB game on the board Thursday night. Statistically speaking these guys balance out pretty evenly each giving in taking in alternating categories. MIZZ holds the advantage (significantly) in pace of play and enjoys a noticeable advantage in offense (mostly due to their pace). MEMPHIS owns about the same advantage defensively that MU has offensively so I consider that a wash. Strength of schedule (in conference) distinctly goes to MU and out-of-conference to MEMPHIS although that was also early season.
So where does that leave us... MU's pace is brutal and as long as they don't have a letdown, which they have been prone to inconsistency, they make this a damn close game possible squeaking out the win. MU feels completely disrespected and despite what they have accomplished this season everyone is still just talking OU/KU. MU serves the shit sandwich to Memphis in this one.
My money will be on MU (-4.5) but going to wait and let the ESPN hype drive the line higher before I jump on it.

lowkey I looked at this over as well and think you may be on to something. Biggest thought on this is usually when you get a team that plays at the pace that MU does and the restricting defense that Memphis does it scares me that a "renewed" focus on D may occur on behalf of both teams. Not trying to talk you off it as I may jump on as well...but I'm definitely thinking...

ATTILA..U couldnt have said it better my friend. thats waht keep going thru my head, so Ill be watching the line and see where the public takes us...But I see defense being played but just hots falling and threes, and free throw adding up. I also expect people to think it will be a tight ame of defense which makes me even a happier bettor on the Over...but GL all in what eva we choose

Yes Memphis plays some outstanding D, but the way Mizzou runs up and down the court all game long has me thinking that Memphis will do the same. Mike Anderson will take a page from Nolan Richardson's book and play old school 40 minutes of hell tonight.
This should be an outstanding game tonight and it comes down to the wire. Mizzou pulls it off on their magical run to the final 4!!

Missouri leads the country in assists, and they're excellent at protecting the ball, too. They get so many extra possessions by forcing turnovers and not turning the ball over themselves.
It's really fun to watch them play on offense. With 5 guys who can shoot, drive, pass, and finish at the rim, they are a tough matchup for anyone. If Carroll is alright, they'll have a great chance to win outright.
