I didn't ignore it.  You brought it up and I don't have an answer for it.

But when FSU is facing the #1 rushing team in the country...and gave up over 200 yards and 30+ points against the 20th ranked rushing offense in the country (BC), yes, that is a key fact.

So now your argument is that FSU had a schedule loaded with teams that could not run the ball, yet FSU has the #1 ranked pass D. This is the worst thread of the bowl season but it is understandable since you use the Auburn avatar. Just pull for your team and save your cash......you are betting with your heart.

Sunny should be renamed funny. You said No way FSU would beat the likes of Georgia (loookout the just lost to a big ten team) BAMA (heads up with 2 losses), Mizzu (overrated), lol. FSU would roll 2 of the 3 of them and beat Bama by at least 7. Sec is not as strong this year. It was bound to happen. Get over it

FSU only faced ONE TEAM with a Heisman-candidate running back....and gave up 200 yards rushing and 30+ points.  Obviously, I only have one game to base my decision on.  BC is the 20th ranked rushing offense and Auburn is #1.  So, obviously, I'm expecting a big night from Auburn's rushing attack but nothing from their passing attack (except maybe one or two trick plays).

If FSU played anyone else good, I would've had other rushing teams to base my decision on but they didn't.  GT ranks 6th in rushing but FSU didn't play them.

Auburn is facing their THIRD Heisman-candidate QB in this game this year.  They are 2-0 against the other 2 Heisman candidates.

And you do realize Auburn's QB won SEC Offensive Player of the Week when he faced Manziel, right?

I think FSU backers don't realize how good Auburn's QB is and that their #1 WR is ranked 3rd in the nation in yards per catch and has almost the same amount of receiving yards as FSU's top two WRs.  But that's a whole different post lol

I would agree with you but because I know FSU will try to put 8 or 9 in the box.  Malzahn will definitely have some trick pass plays that will gobble up some big yards.

Not once have I touted that Auburn's D will stop FSU.  But FSU will not stop Auburn's offense.

This game will come down to the 4th quarter and who has the ball last.

Fellow covers readers and posters, I will say that everyone is entitled to an opinion. As far as school allegiance, I have no dog in the hunt. I have posted a thread in favor of FSU as a positive EV wager. Follow an obvious Auburn backer/graduate/fan if you wish with your cash but I advise against that.....especially considering his weak argument. Good luck to all!

Weak argument?

FSU played against the 20th ranked rushing offense and got lit up on the ground and on the scoreboard.  Auburn is ranked #1 rushing.

How is that weak?  lol

Interesting stat I just found:  FSU ranks 74th in the country with SACKS ALLOWED (against much weaker ACC teams too).

The speed of Auburn's D-line will give FSU fits as FSU hasn't faced anything like it, yet.

Also, Auburn uses 10 D-lineman in a game and the 4th quarter is usually dominated by Auburn (hence, all their comebacks) because their D-line is fresh.

If this game is close going into the 4th quarter, Auburn could win outright.

You mean Georgia who was missing 60% of their offense including their QB???

A Georgia team who had 8 more 1st downs, 109 more yds even after giving up a 99 yd play....

Georgia dominated that game and got beat cause the playing conditions....

Youre right though, SEC went 6-2 in bowl games while the ACC is 4-6

The bottom line in capping this game is this:


FSU will NOT stop Auburn's running game, and will NOT hold them under 300 yards rushing!  


This is a fact that 100% of the people betting on this game SHOULD be embracing, because if you are not, then you can't possibly be correctly handicapping this game...


If you think FSU can control Auburn's running game, YOU DO NOT HAVE A CLUE!

The ACC is a bullshit conference, and you guys are putting an AWFUL lot of faith in the possibility that that conference can produce a national championship!

Wow, did you have to dig hard to find those numbers?  Homers are just unbelievable with their one sided numbers... You and Pack should hang out.  Do you honestly think none of this is reflected in the number set by Vegas?  Every stat you've spit out is already reflected in the line.  This game comes down to whether or not a sports better believes that Auburn will be able to run the ball and what a shock an Auburn homer thinks they can.  I do to but I'm not sure they will be able to run for enough to keep up with the FL St offense.  We all know FL St will score 30+...
Although the AUB win against Bama was impressive at the time, I think it was proven in the Bama  bowl game that a decent spread offense can dominate this year's Bama team.  
I think it also helps that FL St had almost a month to prepare.  This factor alone helps the FL St D much much more then an AUB defense that is seriously out matched when looking at FL WR's TE's and AUB secondary

In other words, no one should do homework and just trust what Vegas has as a favorite, right?

Vegas wants 50/50 action and uses the line based on public perception and power ratings.  Why do you think teams with 70 or 80% of public bets lose?  Because Vegas knows public perception.

Apparently, you don't do homework and just base your pics on Vegas lines
