Coach Dooley got his point across early in the season when he gave "showering tips" to his team on how to bathe......seriously it happened. If nothing else they will smell good after the game.
Tennesee ended the season with 4 wins to get to a bowl game. In reality those teams had combined records of 13-35 and I'm not impressed.
Tennessee Offense: #100 in rushing (uh oh), #36 in passing, #74 in total offense and #61 in scoring although if you take out the 150 they scored on Tennesee-Martin, Memphis St and Mississippi they scored 172 points in there other 9 games.
They are terrible at protecting the QB ranked #112 in sacks allowed, and are #111 punt returns and #68 kickoff returns.
Tenn Defense: #63 rushing defense, #81 pass defense, #66 in sacks, #70 total defense and a respectable#55 in scoring defense. They are opportunistic with turnovers and rank #32 in turnover margin.
NC Offense:#95 rushing, #25 passing, #23 passing efficency, #51 total offense and #79 in scoring offense against much stronger competition. They are ranked #51 in turnover margin.
NC Defense: #36 in rushing defense, #37 passing defense, #44 pass efficency defense, #32 in total defense and #45 scoring defense. In 6 of 12 games they held opponents to 19 or fewer points
Overall View and Pick: NC's 5 losses all came against bowl teams with a combined record of 42-19. With all of the problems with eligibility etc. before the season even started and the suspensions and ineligibility of some very key players, this was one of the finer jobs of coaching by Butch Davis.
Tennesee is not very good and the record of 6-6 is inflated. Lane Kiffin didn't help the talent pool here, but Vince Dooley needs to do a much better job coaching and recruiting in the future.

Lets hope this goes a little better than the KSU ending.......damn what a bad call for celebration, although in fairness no guarantee they would have converted the 2pt or wouldn't get beat in OT....

That is how i feel too, no guarantee they would have converted or won in OT, but you have to let the players decide it.

GL Gil, thank goodness Yates finally threw a pass further than 5 yards at the end of the half. So far the freshman is looking better than the senior, lets go heels.
