WOW! I just saw more entertaining action in the Dr.Pepper halftime contest than the entire awful first half.
I went heavy on FSU when it became apparent Louisville is even worse than they are....but of course they botch a golden opp just before half and Louisville escapes disaster.....
OMG.....

consider this the WORST time of the year for breaking news events that may seriously affect any wagers placed early!
• injuries
• coaching changes!!!
• suspensions!!
• late TRANSFER PORTAL announcements!!!
•and the worst:as yet unannouncedOPT OUTS by star players!!!
Finally, we can include "soured motivation" as a result of missing objectives (like the playoffs or conference championship) or the knowledge that key players/coaches have abandoned the team prior to the bowl game! That is real and cannot be handicapped accurately, as it involves guessing on either side of the problem. Much of that was rare even a dozen years ago. A lot has changed since then...

Yep. Your last part is the ultimate intangible. Sure anybody can speculate but it's not much different than gambling on Roulette. I'm waiting until at least the night before any game to be sure i don't get blindsided by a late announcement

Another thing to be acutely aware of are the flip-flops.....the key players who say NOW that they will play in their bowl game but at some point between now and then some *WILL* change their mind. Happens every year. There's plenty of time for people around the star player who will convince him to opt-out regardless what he said before........... be careful in in laying bets assuming all KEY players who say they will be there actually do follow through
I'm holding off until I know for sure with no chance for a flip-flop before suiting up and appearing in pregame warmups....I do this because I've been badly burnt before....

Star QB expected to sit out bowl game December 16, 2023 Reed isn't expected to play in Monday's bowl game versus Old Dominion, national college football writer Brett McMurphy reports. ANALYSIS If Reed is indeed not going to play, that would lead to a major change under center for the Hilltoppers' passing attack in the bowl game.

Syracuse quarterback Garrett Shrader won't be available for the RoofClaim.com Boca Raton Bowl against South Florida after shoulder surgery, ending his college career.

Del Rio-Wilson was expected to be Syracuse's starting quarterback after Garrett Schrader underwent season-ending shoulder surgery. However, DRW's latest chart exclusion likely indicates he will sit out. In place of him, Braden Davis is listed as Syracuse's starting QB.

Now I think I'm better off just watching the early goings to see how each team plays without KEY players!
Betting bowl season used to be fun.
Nowadays, with phucking optouts and portals its virtually a crapshoot
Better (at least for me) to watch the games and look for ingame LIVE bets

I got it at ODU +3 and was very tempted to middle it when it got up to -6.5. But I was wanting that 7. I never saw it, so I'm going to let it ride. I've got a small lean on the 1st half under...Very small. good luck!
