EUGENE, Oregon -- Oregon's record may still be perfect after two weeks of the college football season, but it doesn't take a magnifying glass to see that the team that began the year ranked third in the country has shown several blemishes.

After struggling to beat an unranked opponent for the second week in a row, the Ducks escaped with a win again Saturday, outlasting a tough Boise State team 37-34 thanks to Atticus Sappington's last-second, game-winning field goal.

GAINESVILLE, Fla. -- Highly touted freshman DJ Lagway threw for 456 yards and three touchdowns in his first collegiate start.

Lagway completed his first seven passes while filling in for Graham Mertz (concussion) and showed why he was the consensus No. 1 quarterback recruit in the country last year.

The Huskies' road upset over the IRISH , the first top-5 win for a Mid-American Conference team in league history, landed Northern Illinois at No. 25 in the rankings. NIU is ranked for the first time since 2013 and is the first team from a non-Power 4 conference to be ranked this season.

From bad to worse?

 

ESPN -

Florida State will be without tailback Jaylin Lucas for the remainder of the season, coach Mike Norvell said.

Lucas was part of the Seminoles' running back rotation and is one of the most explosive kick returners in the country. A transfer from Indiana, he finished last season with 572 return yards and a touchdown.

an_light FSU expected its running game to be the strength of its offense in 2024, but through an 0-2 start, the Seminoles rank 128th nationally in rush yards per game (59.5)

I like UNLV but I am waiting as well. I see +9ish here in Delaware and it was 7 two days ago so why not wait.
