Its not a hedge, its a middle.....2 totally different beasts.
Right now, you have $55 invested to win 6k , so letting it ride is cool with me. However, if I were in your shoes, I would have 3k on the A&M ML -145 (give or take). Now, with that said, you will win :
A) 2k ------- A&M wins by 12 or more (worst case scenario for you)
B) 3k -------- OU wins SU
C) 8k -------- A&M wins by 11 or less
vs not middling
A) 6k if OU covers
B) ZERO if A&M covers
Personally, I would go for the middle. Its pretty rare to lock in money with a chance to win everything.
I would also have a few parlays, for instance the A&M ML with the Packers ML (+110ish)......
bol no matter what
BY FAR THE BEST ADVICE
GOOD LUCK AND ENJOT THE

For someone who knew Mark Messier when he was just a teenager playing college hockey for DU. Denver university pioneers, don't waste one penny on hedging this great teaser wager you are about to hit. A&M is due to blow their wad, easpecially with that horrific defense That defense sucks, especially in second halves. look at how many second half leads they blew this year. Go look If you are concerned, go safe and make a big play on A&m in first half, but......any lead they may have they will blow in second half!! Thay can not finish games. Look at their second half opponents scoring I think they had like 30 pt lead against a weak LA school and barely hung on by 2 measley points.
they are playing Sooners at Jerryworld where Aggie faithful will be outnumbered by OU blowhards Trust me you have a very safe play with Landry and company
Good luck and enjoy your winnings. I see OU winning this one straight up
That weak LA school u speak of is LA Tech! Your stats are correct! Texas A&M does blow leads. But LA Tech scores as fast as Oregon. So next time make sure you know what team your talking about.

Messier, I'm not one to hedge parlays because I feel like it takes all the value out of it. If you're gonna hedge, then why parlay?
With that said, I never back off of a opportunity to hit a big middle. Train makes a very good point. You have a rare opportunity (11.5 point to work with) and can increase your max profit and decrease any chance of a loss. This is one situation that I would be middling.

i hedged a little. Didn't trust the local who i've never bet thru and couldn't redeposit the true amount i wanted to hedge. I put 1000 on am-2.5 hoping for a middle bc of that. I had a mens hockey league playoff game tonight so i stopped watching down 1 at half. I felt pretty good with that result. In the 3rd period i asked the coach to look up the score and was disgusted to hear 41-13 a/m. That's how it goes in this line of business. I swallowed the loss and moved on. It wasn't the first bad beat and it won't be the last. Most parlays/teasers seem to lose on the last leg. good luck guys

Messier, don't feel bad about this bad beat at all.
I play parlays that consistently come down to the final game- and I seldom hedge.
I got caught in a 5 gamer at 5dimes and a 4 gamer at bookmaker. I won 7 out of 9 games. I won 0 dollars. The funny thing, I had Jax St. +6.5 in the 4 gamer with Oregon/Under/South Dakota St, and the 5 gamer had Belmont -6.5 (who played Jax St). I lost on Murray St at -14.5 (HORRIBLE LINE) vs Tenn Martin. Murray winning by 21 points with 3 lousy minutes left and they come out 11 point victors. I watched turnover, turnover, 3 pointer to make it 15 pt game, then a white boy hit a ridiculous uncontested tony parker-esque floater making it 13 point game with 48 sec left, then Murray turnover and a Tenn martin jumper to make it 11 pt game. 21 sec left and Tenn Martin looked to be fouling but no fouls to be called. Dribble, clock, game, f**k you, drizzle get lost. 5dimes/bookmaker appreciate your business, loser.
