but I agree. Day said on tv, "I'm gonna be aggressive" and then 4th quarter comes about and he does 3 conservative plays to end the game. 

That kick was nowhere close but he was trying to get enough on it, which there was. Osu should not have run the ball on first down, they could’ve easily gotten closer

run on first i don’t mind at all, the plays that followed were horrid. i knew they were not em getting a single yard and then missing the kick it was obvious.. after that big play offensive coriander in my opinion shat the bed after calling a horrible 4th. not the kickers fault even though he hit from 50 all year with no problem of strength to get it there. he cracked under the pressure but honestly they should have gotten to the 20 no problem that OC was ass lol

Yes, they should have won that game.. They gave up the exact amount of points to lose, they blew it.. I mean, who scores 18 points in a score?

He has never made a 50 yarder in his career. The 48 he made was his career long made

Lol you guys mad at OSU play calling. I was pissed Bennett score with 54 seconds left. Even rushing the next to last play. They make mistakes in the heat of the game. Easier for us armchair QBs. 

He only missed 2 fgs ever before that, He should have made it and he didn't.

 Yeah the 48 yarder earlier didn’t clear by much. I’m not sure what to say other than wtf is their offensive coordinator thinking with those last play calls when they were in striking distance. Get another 10 yards and the kicker is within range to send you to the national championship. The 50 yarder from that angle is a very low percentage kick, even for him 

He missed 8 during his sophomore season even though that was at North Carolina. Still he has never made a 50 yard field goal. Not once. So it's hard to say he "should have" especially considering I'm sure that was the most stressful moment of his career.

Yeah they are trying to avoid a sack or an interception. Yes they got too conservative after the 28 yard run. They still needed another 5-10 yards. 

I was still griping about why did Georgia score so fast so I'm glad OSU made a mental error too. No reason to quick snap the 1st and 10 from the 15 like Bennett did. I knew 54 seconds and 2 timeouts was too much time. Just lucky that mistake didn't cost Ga the game. 

oh, I can assure you he was feeling nothing but the highest of highs of adrenaline through his veins.. If you've ever been in situations like that it's an out of body experience in sports, hell you could almost black out from the nerves. I've had that feeling just from returning kicks in SEC Stadiums. The adrenaline usually helps you hit it further on a kick, or same with Golf when you're nervous. You gain like 5mph of ball speed just from adrenaline 

College kickers are nowhere close to an NFL kicker…these kids are so unpredictable. Id say they miss more than 50% of the time on game winning kick from 35 yards in. From 50? That chance drops to prob 30%

In my Herman Edwards voice "You play to win the game" OSU didn't do that to end the game. They wasn't aggressive enough to get the kid in better fg range. I knew he was gonna miss because that was too much pressure for him. Being conservative will get you beat, and that was the end result.

Yeah but that kick was ugly from the start. I'm pretty sure if he can make a 48 yd fg, he can make a 50. That was just too much pressure for the kid and i feel bad for him because he gonna catch hell for missing that fg. Sadly it wasn't his fault they lost the game. Blame the oc with bad play calling at the end.

As a former kicker, I can tell you for certain he knew it was too far.  I watched the replay's well in to the morning dissecting his run up, his plant, his angle of attack and how the ball left his foot. He 'tried too hard'.

For those of you golfers, amateur's that is.  You know when you get up to that 500+ yd par 5 and want to destroy it.  You get out of your rhythm, you over think it and next thing you know you're taking a breakfast ball.

My heart breaks for the kid.  Although I have no idea how he is really feeling, I can tell you I know that feeling.  At the same time, his OC should shoulder some blame too.  Needed 5 yards, that's it and couldn't get it...

No I have never lined up to kick a game winning 50 yard field goal in front of 80,000 love for essentially the national championship. I would be nervous AF

Hindsight is 20-20 fellas it’s easier to analyze after the fact but the FG kicker bottom line shanked it.

Coulda shoulda woulda gotten closer instead the Buckaroos played waaaay too conservatively near the end l believe but wtf do I know
