I don't disagree with all the Bama backers that think A MOTIVATED Bama team can win this game by 3 or more TD's.. But, I believe that if any team is due for a letdown in these Bowl games, its Bama (IMO)..
Bama 100% felt they were leaving Auburn with a W, and heading to Pasadena to play for another National Title.. They sure as hell didn't think they were gonna be in the Sugar Bowl against an Oklahoma team that everyone knows ain't MR. JANUARY!! To me, this is Extremely deflating to not only the players, but coaches too. Nobody has higher Expectations in the country than Bama..
A/M and Auburn were able to score on Bama to the tune of 42 and 34 pts.. Oklahoma runs a similar style of Off as these two.. I am not saying the Sooners personnel is the same as those 2 teams, but I feel they have enough to score some pts on Bama..
I think Oklahoma scores more than most think they will.. Oklahoma had the #1 DEF in the big 12 and 13th in country.. Baylor put 41 on them (#1 O in Nation) and Tech 30 pts (#9 O in Nation) .. The Tide have the #36 O in the nation. I don't see them putting up more than Baylor.. Oklahoma won't be intimidated at all by Bama's O.
I like the edge in Kicker and Punter for Oklahoma.. Special teams, as we all know, could play a role in this as well, and the Sooners have the edge imo..
Lastly, It's no secret to how piss poor Bob Stoops is in Big games. I do like the fact that they are in the role of the BIG DOG tonight and not a favorite. Seems like when Oklahoma is supposed to win, they lay the egg, The role of the dog, and the fact very very few think they have a shot bodes well for them tonight.
I would never say I think Oklahoma wins this game outfight, but I like the 17...
Once again fellas, this is what I see and think for tonight. I know that their are plenty of covers and expert people that would disagree with me greatly. Any comments, bashing etc are welcome. Opinions are what makes this forum go round, so as always... BOL to ALL..
