Stanford comes into this game scoring 18 pppg and giving up 16 on defense in the 4 game series. Michigan St. comes into the game scoring 29 pppg on offense and giving up 15 on defense. We all are aware of Michigan St. defense. 1 of the best in the country. However,  they have a pretty darn good offense also. imo better than what Stanford brings to the table in a pure points perspective.

Stanfords road rating of 90 is just about equal to Michigan States 91.5. However, Stanford does play a tougher slate with an  83 ave opponent compared to Michigan St's 75. The key for me is that Mich St is blowing up their competition by 16.5 pppg and beating Ohio State ..on the road is a great accomplishment.. where as Stanfords win margin --. 7pppg. This gives me a guide into how this game could play out. Tight real tight.  Stanfor lost to USC and UTAH  2 teams that don't even compare to the caliber of Mich St imo. Michigan State wins this game SU .
