Composite-
Check out the link I posted in the #1 post of this thread. I broke down the entire FSU team in that thread before the season.
As for what is different between when I wrote that before the season and now: Not a whole bunch. I pretty much called the team exactly how it is. A few differences though:
1) Karlos Williams was moved from his hybrid LB/S position(s) to RB. This kid is a FREAK of an athlete. Problem was he didn't really have a position he excelled at on defense. The first year he came to FSU (was something like 8th overall recruit that year) Jimbo tried moving him to RB but he wanted no part of it; only wanted to play D. Now, he finally realized RB is the position for him. Problem is Devonta Freeman and James Wilder Jr are two really good RBs backs too. If Williams decided on RB before the season, he would be the starter now, without a doubt. Freeman is more of a speed back, while Wilder is more of a power back. Karlos Williams is FASTER than both of them and STRONGER than Wilder. This kid is an absolute freak.
As crazy as it is to say, you can quote me on it, but I truly believe all 3 of these RBs will be in the NFL at some point or another.
Enough about RBs though:
2) Injuries. Knock on wood, but the injury bug has been relatively kind to us so far. Only one major injury, starting safety Tyler Hunter hurt his neck and out for the year (Injury was like a week after moving Karlos Williams to RB. Hope that doesn't come back to bite us).
Because of that injury, the lack of depth with Williams moving to RB, and with our abundance of CB talent, true freshman Jalen Ramsey has moved and became the starting safety alongside "veteran" Terrance Brooks.
Its funny, and crazy, when you think that our initial two starting safeties last year (Lamarcus Joyner and Williams) are still on the team, healthy, but neither playing safety lol (Joyner moved to CB to increase draft stock since he's "too small" to be a safety)
Other injuries, veteran Center Stork should be good to go from a concussion he sustained alongside Demonte McAllister, senior DL, who should be good to go from his concussion.
One thing is for sure (I would hope) defensive staff will make sure to have two guys around Sammy Watkins at all times. Clemson's #2 WR is out for the year. They will make someone else beat them.
If you have any individual questions about the team other than that id be happy to answer. All I'm gonna say for now.
And Winkster:
Couldn't agree more about Jimbo. Had one of the best kicker's in the nation with the chance to seal the game with a 50 harder and he punts the damn balls. He better not coach like such a vagina again. And I honestly do not think he will. I honestly could care less that Winston is 19 years old going into "hostile environment first time" yada yada yada THIS KID IS SPECIAL. His first start ever he took a dump on Pitt at their place. And i don't care that it was Pitt and this is Clemson. This kid is superior to ANYONE THAT HE FACES. He isn't scared of anyone. Oh, and the kid has an arsenal of weapons at his disposal. As I pointed out in my original thread, Shaw and Greene are stud. Factor in a 6'4 Benjamin on the outside and a depending set of hands at TE in O'Leary (not to even mention the RBs). Watch out. I just cannot wait to be sitting in Death Valley for the first time and listen to the silence around me as Winston lights up the scoreboard
Hope this helps some of you out. Back to studying.
Cheers
