Haha, thanks urban. Jimmy is one of the few guys out there that is capable of making me reevaluate a position. I still don't think Florida will score more than 3 in the first half.

And neither do I. I also prefer to go with what I initially decided because if I don't and I was correct in my initial assessment it just pisses me off.
Let Alabama first half take you to the pay window!

Ignorance at its finest... Maybe just be happy that you have one of the best teams in college football and just keep your comments to yourself? OR so that you don't sound silly maybe use words like "I think" or "I can see this happening"? There are no absolutes in college football, especially the outrageous player props that you are suggesting. NOTHING hits 100% of the time and if it did you wouldn't be on here pushing your Tide Pride because your expert picks would have put you on a private island for the rest of your days.
This is not to say Henry cannot do exactly what you are claiming he will do but you clearly didn't watch the Florida/FSU game so your comment cannot be taken seriously here. Alabama IS the better team and almost certainly will win this game. They are the best the SEC has this year for sure. But IF you watched the game you would have seen that almost all of Cook's yards came in the second half after the game was all but over. The amount of time Florida's defense spent on the field and in their own territory because of their offensive woes was alarming. I cannot see ANY defense in the nation or NFL suiting up for 4 quarters when their offense puts them at a distinct disadvantage. Florida is one of the best defenses in the nation based on statistics (which are the only facts we have to go off of) and experts in the NFL have rated their DBs as the best in the nation. If you disagree you can try to get a job with ESPN and broadcast your opinion but I do not think "they suck... bad" will be getting a lot of coverage.
I love intelligent conversations so if you can back your statements up at all please put me in my place but let's not take these conversations to places they do not need to go.
Well, I just don't think the WHEN of it all when he got his yards is relevent... When you can't keep someone contained for 4 quarters that just does not say much for your defense, however during the LSU game FourNOT did not seem to have any problems rushing on them and I think our offensive line and Derrick Henry are better, especially at this point in the season. I would love to see Henry get challenged and this be a competative game in the first half and I think it could be, which is why I did not take the 17, I teased it with Clemson(which I kind of regret now that I think about it), but I do not know if it will...
As for their secondary.. Their numbers look good because they are in the East... East Carolina lit them up for 250 and 3 TD's, Ole Miss 260 and a TD, even Brandon Harris got 200 and two TD's, South Carolina as well, FAU 160 and a TD, FSU as well... Coker is not the best QB in the SEC, but he is not to be underestimated, he has made some huge plays as of late, he is the leader of this offense, and has a game winning drive under his belt, and he has Calvin Ridley, one of the best freshmen receivers in the country right now.

You're making me rethink my 'Bama -10 1H play Jimmy....
I honestly believe this a case of classic bettors overreaction. Florida has been preparing for the SEC Championship Game ever since they clinched the East title. I think Florida is going to play very well in this game. I do not think it'll be the huge blowout many are expecting. Personally I would not lay 18 with Alabama, or 10 in the first half. 16.5 is as high as I would go with Alabama. I may be wrong, God knows I have been before, but that's my honest opinion.

Nick Saban is 5-0 vs. his assistants last five winning by an average margin of 26 pts. And those were against teams that could actually field an offense (Tenn 2010-2012, Flor 2012 & 2014).
BTW, Florida doesn't really have a kicker they trust. They passed on several makeable FG's last week because of this. It's TD's or nothing.

Very good stuff and great points. Fournette did run all over Florida in Death Valley basically from start to finish. I just don't put a lot of stock in Cook's garbage yardage and TDs. FSU just flat out broke Florida's will which was a lot easier than it should have been but FSU benefited from 4 previous weeks of Florida's defense having to bail out the Florida offense. I was a pitcher in college. I would equate it to giving up 1 run in 4 consecutive starts and going 0-4!!! Even though they won the games it still took its toll. Now the offense gets smacked up by FSU's defense and the pressure is all on Florida's defense to manufacture points. How crazy is that? As for the passing yardage those numbers don't seem too impressive to me and if we play the comparison game Ole Miss' Kelly threw for 341 against Bama. Granted, a quarter of that yardage came on that BS prayer he threw up!!!
Bottom line is these are TWO of the top 10 defenses in the country. Probably give the edge to Alabama if I had to choose but only because of their front 7. Hargreaves will be a top 10 draft pick when he declares and Tabor is supposed to be just as good. The safeties behind them aren't too shabby either.
You won't get an argument from me on this game. If Alabama doesn't win I am not sure if there will ever be a more surprising result. Alabama is the better team but Florida's defense is top 10 and the only reason Florida has made it this far.

Agree, Bama has covered a lot for me this season, I think they are at about 7 and 5 this season, but that is a lot of points in the SECCG...

From a defensive minded guy, I remember watching Florida in the Fla/Ga game... I was watching them hit and tackle, and I was very impressed. They reminded me a lot of Alabama with their ability to do these things. Being completely honest here, I was scared and NOT looking forward to this game.. Harris played really well also... So, this sparked my interest and I watched them again in the Vandy game... It was like they went full retart... They were not tackling well at all, they weren't hitting... So, this tells me that either A, Georgia just sucks and doesn't match up well with them(don't think so because of Vandy), or maybe they just decide to show up in certain games and not others, we will see...

To be honest. That was the best defensive game they played and maybe one of the most dominant defensive performances from a statistical standpoint this year in the SEC so I am not sure if its just because the offense is a joke that you felt this way...
They gave up 175 total yards and 74 of those yards came with 20 seconds left in the 1st half when the ref put on a RIDICULOUS block on Florida's safety or linebacker. Vandy was trying to run out the clock!!! The replay is quite humorous if you want to dig it up. There was a big hole and the LB was about to make the tackle and ref crushed him!
Just to be clear, Vandy probably has the worst offense in the entire nation so I am not bragging about this one bit but I will tell you that both Florida AND Alabama have benefitting from playing terrible offenses. Lets just agree Alabama is the better team which should be easy and end this madness? haha

When Alabama destroys Florida, they will theoretically have the #1 seed until Clemson plays. In other words, a loss by Clemson, and they are out as a #1, and Bama avoids Oklahoma, a team none wants to face. Bama prefers a Big 10 opponent. Lots of motivation to take care of business.
Agree with the 23-6 (6 points for UF), but have to add a TD to that at least for Bama.
