most people are saying that Auburn has an awesome offense that&#x27;s gonna run all over Miss State.. that Miss State can&#x27;t stop the run, they only played Memphis, so that&#x27;s why they shut them down, that sorta thing..

Good Point..and all that can think is that Vegas may be trying to scare some money off of Auburn... if you look the amount of money now on each side...they somewhat succeeded, by about 5 %....but PLEASE BELIEVE that there is too much talent on this Auburn team to fall to a cow bell distraction in their SEC opener. Cam Newton=Freak. Auburn's D practices against a better version of Miss St's offense. Auburn's RB Corps is balls deep in Miss St's mother. Auburns WR Corps returns huge talent and adds some serious young talent. AU's O-Line is one of the best in the Country. Did I mention the RB Corps?...Michael Dyer, Onterio McCalebb, and Mario Fannin? Look up their stats...please. For WR stats and talent see examples Darvin Adams or Terrell Zachary. For New WR talent see example Trovon Reed. Oh yeah don't forget, Cam Newton is a freaky freak of nature.

Yes, Miss St can throw the ball, and Auburn had a bad first half of football in the secondary to open the season. But the rust is off the wheels boys, and while Miss St. might keep it close in the first half...Auburn's D will weather the storm and allow around mid 20's or so again while Auburns Offense rolls Miss St's "Cowbell Defense" like a high school team and hangs around half a hundred.

So if Mississippi State shuts down Auburn&#x27;s rushing attack and makes Newton beat them with his arm, do you trust him enough to not make a mistake or cost them the game?? Miss. State will score, which I think everyone agrees on.. All the pressure is on Auburn in this game.. They&#x27;re supposed to smoke Miss. State.. They have the ranking and fans believing they got a shot at the SEC title game, which they do.. I just feel that in this game, in this spot, they maybe overlooking Miss. State..

Ha...yeah, I trust our passing game alot.  I trust that our receivers can run better routes than Miss St&#x27;s D can cover. As for Cam? Hmm....he can put the ball on a rope, and its been a whiles since Auburn has had a QB that can make a 50yd "touch" pass. As for Cam&#x27;s decision making? He has made good decisions so far, no close calls with nearly picked balls. His feet are too dangerous for him to throw stupid passes. If Im not mistaken I hear the same is not true for Miss St, in fact I think I remember reading that Miss St. had several passes that should have not only been intercepted, but could have been 6 points if Memphis had any talent on D. Shoulda, coulda, woulda, right? We will see, but I think turnover margin is another battle Cam Newton and Auburn wins if you look at QB and other positions individual player performance.

Its sad all those state fans will show up with their cow bells as if that plays any role in how Auburn plays. I guess their fans will ride cows to the game so the cowbells will be easy access when they get there.

&#xD;&#xA; &#xD;&#xA; &#xD;&#xA;Auburn rushed for 400 yards and put up 600 yards of offense on State last year compared to their 297. Not a lot has changed between these two teams other than they are both better.

on paper, Auburn seems to be a better team.. no denying that.. the Miss State coach knows the QB pretty well though.. like i posted above, in this spot, an Auburn fade seems like the best play for me..

The line was made low to put doubt in the minds of sharps and degenerates. It made me think at first when i saw the line. I thought really -2 Auburn? Is Miss St that good? Then i studied and found out that Auburn is the far superior team. Thursday night college games do make for surprise upsets but i would rather take my chances on betting the better team. Than hoping for an upset by the weaker team. Just my take on it.
