it&#x27;s interesting you bring this up...he is definitely not another average Joe QB... he will definitely be a stud in the NFL... however... if you&#x27;re the Colts, and you get the #1 pick... and you have the choice between Andrew Luck or Trent Richardson... i&#x27;ve been saying all year i think they should take Trent, because they have Manning already, and that would just complete their offense...but now i think... even if they didn&#x27;t have Manning, they should take Richardson...that guy is such a beast, and such a sure thing in the NFL!  a guy who NEVER fumbles the ball?  AND he refuses to ever go down?i&#x27;ve never seen anything like it... he catches the ball out of the backfield... he blocks, he&#x27;s got moves and speed... i think the Colts would be crazy to pass up on him at #1... especially considering they have Manning...i&#x27;m not sure if it&#x27;s about Luck being overrated or Richardson being underrated... but i don&#x27;t think the #1 pick as is cut-and-dry as everybody makes it out to be...

Couldnt agree with you more.  The more and more I watch him, I just do not see it.  Dont get me wrong, he is a quality prospect, but not worth the hype.

ice you never take a running back #1 never. you can find value in rb in later rounds plus running back with trent rich style will have 5 yrs max.

yikes!that interception was really bad... not just the bad throw off of his receivers helmet from 3 yards away... but being totally unaware of the blitz...he is definitely no guarantee to go #1 based on his late season play compared to Richardsons... Colts would be dumb as hell to take Luck over TRich... Richardson isn&#x27;t just going to be a great NFL RB... he is going to be one of the greatest of all time (barring injuries)... unless Luck can match or top that, Colts have no reason to take a chance when they already have a sure thing at QB, and can add a sure thing at RB...

i agree with your first statement... would almost never condone it!  except, if you already have Manning at QB AND the RB you are drafting is has legendary potential!i&#x27;m not sure about the 5 years... it all comes down to injuries, and yes he has a bruising style, but that style of RB has done well lately... i mean shit, he hurts alot more people than hurt him... that guy is built like a brick!

I do agree with you Ice that Richardson will be a fantastic pro but Luck will be the number one pick whether the Colts want him or not. Do you understand the value of that pick?

Everyone realizes that he is still a Jr.  He doesn&#x27;t have 1 NFL prospect at WR.  His coach is the most predictable and boring play caller I have seen in awhile.

&#xD;&#xA;Sometimes you have good points and then you go off the wall. Ofcourse Luck is going #1 if the Colts want Trent Richardson they can trade their pick and move back a few slots and select him.

well, this is where you might be right... and i think if the Colts DO take him, there is a good chance they will trade the pick... and in my opinion, they should... THAT is where the value is...and if they draft Luck #1, but trade him, i would consider whoever they trade for to be the true #1 pick...

There is actually talk that they&#x27;d consider drafting Luck and trading Peyton. I think that would be absolutely ridiculous but Luck is the biggest college prospect since Elway. Warranted? Probably not but that&#x27;s what he is.

Forget NFL prospect, he doesn&#x27;t even have a decent college prospect on the field at WR. His only options are really tight ends. Tough to play that way and he still gets it done.

It&#x27;s interesting because I&#x27;m a huge Luck fan.  I mean all of my boys knock me for it.  However, I think Barkley COULD be better.  Barkley is really impressing me.
