Any leans out there on the 1AA games this weekend?????

WhoDey. Its because they  would have to play all games away from "home" in the Stink. Just like Temple. They were asked 1st, these were the post Westbrook yrs, and that is the real reason why they said no. UCONN bit, and look at them now. Nova just doesn't have the room to make it a full stadium on campus.

Maine the dropping the program for 4 yrswas in the mid 80's its not really like yesterday. think about the fact that they built it up to be a D-1 (if they excepted) program by 2000?.

UConn doesn't play on campus either, or anywhere near it.  They actually pursued a really brilliant strategy - basically telling their fans that if they'd commit, up-front, to buying season tickets and boxes, they would build a staium and elevate the program.  I wonder if Virginia should try something similar.

I don't recall VU being any more "buit up" in 2000 than they were whenever they dropped the sport - a pretty good team with a crap facility and no fans.  They have now grown into a really good team with a crap facility and no fans.

 Weather forecast for tonight is 22 w/10-15 mph winds.I'm leaning towards W&M who has the better rushing offense with RB Jonathan Grimes (1235/9TD) and the nations best defense against the rush (53ypg).The 'Tribe is also 2nd in scoring D (11.9 ppg.) and 2nd in total D.

 In their last 3 games (all of them against ranked teams) W&M has allowed just 96 yards rushing (32.0ypg) and in their 2 playoff games they have controlled the game and clock with their running game especially in the 4th quarter as they held the ball for 11:36 in the final Q against Weber St. and 12:55 against #1 ranked S.Illinois.

 Even though W&M traditionally struggles at Villanova, if the 'Tribe can limit their turnovers (+16 on year,-2 against 'Nova),and don't give up a flea flicker TD on the first play from scrimmage as they did in these teams last meeting,I think that they have the recipe to advance to the finals.

As I am breaking the game down more, I think the over is the real play. I know Bill & Mary have a solid D, but thats a low total

Maine,I have also been very impressed with the'Tribe.I saw them twice in person this year, once against your 'Hoos and once against JMU. I was rooting against them in both games but had to appreciate their effort.

 Don't worry if W&M is trailing at halftime as Jimmye Laycock must make great adjustments and/or give a hell of a halftime speach as the 'Tribe have outscored their opponants 76-7 in the third quarter.

* I was in error in my earlier post,W&M is +12 in turnovers on the year not +16.

Really like this game....they owned time of posession and total yards from scrimmage in the first meeting!  As long as they dont throw interceptions in the endzone again and make stupid penalites like they did last game I think they come out on top.

By the way....they have a pretty damn good defense too.  You all know the saying......
