Anybody with insight into DUKE v TEXAS A&M?

Question

Been looking at this game most of the day. My initial lean is Duke b/c they have an offense that can score against A&M's dismal defense. A&M should also be able to score at will. My value model says the most value of the day is on Duke.

Thoughts?

Just don&#x27;t see how Duke will be able to keep up with A&amp;M. I think we saw the real Duke against FSU. The quality of play in the ACC is overall, short of FSU of course, not good. Look around and see how the ACC is faring in the rest of the bowl games.  I think Manziel is going to want to go out with a blast against an average ACC defense. I see him doing anything he wants tonight. Color that Evans too. Not that it will be needed, but there is always the additional possibility of stage fright for a Duke team in unfamiliar waters. No sir, I&#x27;ll gladly lay 11.5 in this matchup that A&amp;M could and should win by 30.&#xD;&#xA;Speaking of the ACC, I&#x27;ll be on Auburn next Monday too. To win.&#xD;&#xA;GLBain

Duke fought a good fight with FSU can they bring it ?

Unders have been hitting even with blow out teams so is this another move the ball back and forth between the 35 yard lines?

I am not making pokes at anyone. I think this is a hard game to cap and I have not made up my mind what I will play. Yes of course I will have a bet riding on it because I am a degent.

But I hope some good brain storming comes of this post and maybe helps some out.

[/Quote]I agree. This game might be a no play. I&#x27;m 2-0 on the day with plenty of CFB left in the bowl season. There is probably better value elsewhere.

I think the biggest mistake anyone can make capping this game is comparing it to the FSU game. Not saying Duke will cover BUT A&amp;M D isn&#39;t even close to being in the same universe as FSU. I was leaning Duke but the ACC looks awful. No clue what I&#39;m b playing now. But gl to all

I think with time off Manzel will be flat. Duke is really looking forward to this.. But if you go the game thread all the regulars are on TAM because they are much better all around and we all know that. Then you have posts from guys there first post, or there 3rd post telling you to watch out for Duke and all the things that "COULD" happen.

Standard is a good duke play. But then again all the right winners have won today. So it is time for a duke over.

Clearly FSU has a much better defense, no one will argue that and Duke should score some points. But remember FSU also had 31 first downs in that game against Duke. The question really should be how will the Duke "D" slow down the &#x27;&#x27;A&amp;M" offense? They won&#x27;t. They&#x27;re going to need alot of help with turnovers to keep this game close to respectable. FSU even had 3 turnovers in that contest against Duke and still won by 38. Bits and pieces from that game can be used when making your decisions.

In terms of manziels effort tonight, you gotta think you will get his A game with him testing the nfl waters and all after this game.  There were some games earlier where it really seemed a bit sketchy with him, and I am not talking about the LSU game because there was nothing he could do with them.    Just what I have been thinking on this game.

Also, I think this line is a decent line to tease (ugh!). So I am teasing A&M -6.5 and Georgia -2 (probably add Stanford +.5 too)

I like the teaser a lot. I think Duke has never seen anything like Manziel before and the Aggie defense is terrible. I look to sit back and watch the points. Of course I said the same thing about Mi/KState and that didn't turn out to well.

I agree mrusso there are bits abd pieces therebut in my opinion FSU has a better offense than A&amp;M and I just don&#39;t think there&#39;s too too much to take from the FSU game. I can see Manziel coming out flat too which might give Duke a shot. Like I said I was initially leaning Duke but A&amp;M scares me the more I think about it lol. Tough call.

The ACC is AWFUL....The SEC is the best yet again...

A team who went 4-4 in the SEC, is giving 2 TDS to a team who played for the ACC championship and BCS bid

I like Duke, they have had a great year, and Cutcliffe is a very good Offensive minded coach. Having said that, I don't think they will hang all game with A&M. They will score but I see this one getting out of hand in the second half. I like the over in this one as neither D is that good. A&M has the better athletes and unless they pull an ASU stunt, they should cover and win by more than 2 tds. At least that's my 2 cents worth.

My take is...... It&#x27;s going to look just like the Rice game......Rice has the offense to keep up with Miss. St. But, Miss.St.  is too big up front!  Texas AM will score big

Watched a lot of Duke ball games this year. Yes they won me some money, but damn they struggled against a suspect UNC team, & Wake Forest.

A&M has played the tougher teams. Yes they are down their Stud MLB, but not their stud QB who will be sure to put on a show tonight for the scouts.

I can see Duke getting some backdoor points in there at the end but will it be enough to cover???????

Duke&#x27;s leading rusher is out but he&#x27;s just "one of the guys." He led the team with 560 yards, the guy behind him had 500&#x2B; yards and has a much better YPC average. Just sayin.
