We are now 22 days away from our first college Football action
of the season.

I'm waiting to get a little deeper into Fall Camp before I pull the trigger.

I don't want a conditioning or practice injury to trip me up.

And to think I almost took them at -13. I am curious as to what caused that- somebody seemingly put a nice chunk on BYU- now I wonder why!

It was probably someone who watched the tape of
Arizona's Spring game and decided to bet BYU

I put $2200 down on Arizona -7.5  ( one of my largest ats wagers ever) months ago ..,,

My local reduced my wager to $500 a few weeks wager 

Now down to 11.5 , i might put some more down ..,My current numbers have -19.2 
BEST OF HEALTH, HAPPINESS,WEALTH, BLESSINGS and LUCK TO ALL !!

The main thing I want to know is .

How is Tate doing learning Noel Mazzone's offense.

Specifically his passing offense.

Tate looked lost as far as passing in the Spring Game.
Early reports seem to be positive , but that's usually
the crap that coaches dispense to the media in the
first few days of Fall camp.

I love Arizona! BYU is not the same as in the past. IMO it is based on coaching. Use to be a much tougher team.

It's so hard to gauge dual-threat quarterbacks in the spring game, wearing the red jersey takes all their ability away to escape the rush...

I remember people mocking ridiculing Etc Cam Newton after my poor spring performance. Then he went on to win the Heisman

 I like Az here............with a reservation. Sumlin elected to keep Yates on as the DC, despite the fact that Az has been giving up points in truckloads since he has been there. Kind of reminds me of Washington when Sark kept Nick Holt around too long. But the best elixir for a bad defense is to face a bad offense. I see BYU still has Tanner Mangum around & are breaking in a new OC,  which gives me reason for optimism in this situation.

 It's an interesting matchup.........one of the worst D's (AZ) vs. one of the worst O's (BYU), & one of the best O's (AZ) vs. an average D.

I think they will handle BYU . It's conference play that
concerns me. Sumlin gets a fresh start and decides to
retain a DC that performed poorly. I don't understand
his thinking there.

Yes, I like this situation..........AZ starts @ home with, likely, a renewed optimism under a new HC, & a legit Heisman candidate @ qb vs. a BYU team lookin for answers. peace_5

I'm a little surprised by all of the Zona love on here. Last year was golden betting against BYU. But Vegas is already adjusting the lines on them. Arizona DD faves over BYU? I wouldn't be surprised if it goes down even further with BYU finally working with their QB's all healthy. They went thru 3 different ones LY due to injuries. Plus they wisely got rid of OC Ty Detmer and are getting back to an offense they are more familiar with. Zona will be better offensively, but their defense is ALWAYS a big question mark with that team.

I tend to agree . I will wait to wager on Arizona until I am confident that
Tate has an understanding of Mazzone's passing game and I can
see for myself just how bad Arizona's defense will be in 2018.

I dont love Zona by any means, but they do have 3-5 elite offensive players, including the best dual threat QB in the country...

The reason I like Arizona has more to do with BYU... Last year I caught the BYU/SJSU game, and I called friends to turn it on, bc they were the worst two teams i've ever seen play a cfb game.  IMG wouldve beaten BYU that night.  Prob covered the 12 too

Eary number of 7.5 ...    at -12 it would only be a standard wager
