Taking the Razorbacks -35 (b1) for the first LARGE bet of the season...whats everyone's thoughts on the Razorbacks?
One of the better SEC teams this year with superior players and system. Great QB and the ability to put up points in a hurry. UNM struggled to score on Colorado State and will be severely out manned this week. Special teams have been UNM's nemesis the last 2 years and Adams is one of the better returners in the country.
Really like the Razorbacks this week, no look ahead game (Troy next week). They should handle the Lobos easily.
Thoughts?

think new mexico is getting better, and could keep this closer than u might think. they played really well on D last week only allowing 14 points. not sure here, but arkansas will either win by 20, or 50

Another way of looking att his is Wisconsin beat the piss out of UNLV 51-10..then UNLV made a ...who gives a shit TD....AND many lost thier 35 point spread 51-17....Arkansas will have TROY and Alabama up the next 2 weeks after so I dont think Arkansas would want to take to much notice ...what Vegas has to say ...as to push their starters in this heat against lower teams....Just my opinion

Same logic applied here as the UNLV @ Wisconsin game...
There is no discernible difference for the Arkansas players between winning by 35 points and winning by 37 points. If the second-stringers come into the game in the 4th quarter with a 45-3 lead and give up a late touchdown, do you really think anyone at Arkansas is going to be disappointed with the outcome?
Big spreads like this are too unpredictable. There are dozens of better games on the board.

I live in Fayetteville and I wouldn't play that. Bobby petrino is talking about experimenting with the running game and the LSD thing it seems to be on his mind is routing a team. The LSD score is tricky. Two of those were punt returns so the offense only truly scored 36.

Yes ..south west player..the first half is whats good...hell ALABAMA put up 21 first quarter on Kent st....As a head Coach you have to turn your dogs loose because that is what they sweat and bleed for during the doubble days in the heat....

i have been anticipating this game for some time. however, with the loss of davis, and the now 36 point spread, it is a pass for me.
if arkansas really wants to, it will destroy the 36 point spread and cover. new mexico is bad (though they did infuse their team with some talented transfers.).
since this is week 2, i now see better opps on the board. right now, i have florida -21.5 over uab and Stanford over Duke -21.5. yes, i know, like everyone else. later in the season, the group mentality will be a red flag, but now, i think from a talent perspective, there is a delta. in addition, this is stanford only east coast game (ie luck heisman voters) and muschamp will want to demonstrate what his system will do against a CUSA team that has a respectable track record in UAB. and muschamp knows that he will need to have his team keyed up for Tenn the following week. Stanford has AZ, but I don't believe they are too worried, there.
Again, I think Ark will cover, but it is a no play for me.
