1)  What do you think the opening line WILL be?

I would take auburn in all those. Think with a bye week to work on things they win by at least 21.

Anything under 17 I take Auburn..
K.State will hang for a bit but in the end Auburn will pull away

Everyone and there mama will be on Auburn. They've covered like their last 11 games.  See this game at around 8-9. Will jump to about 11 at kick-off. 

One of my favorite picks. K-State will cover anything under 8. This goes down to the wire and  starts week 4 with a bang. Somehow I see KState with a possible upset. Auburn's streak ends in Bill Syders Family stadium Thursday night.

Will be jumping on this line just before kickoff.

I think a little lower...Thinking 7 as they want action on Auburn early.. K. State I am affraid is not as good as in the past... Auburn is... BUT... HOme Thursday night... Means a big deal in Kansas..

Think Waters andLockett have big games. Game has been circled and a week off will help.

I was thinking Auburn - 9. I have a strong lean Kansas State on this game last week when I looked ahead. Might change after I do some research, but initially I was thinking these Big 12 teams have a lot to prove vs SEC teams. Also, it's home on Thur night and crazy things happen on Thur night games.

Not debating your approach, but that isn't usually mine... I make most of my decisions on who to bet before any lines come out, but I bet them only if they are within a certain number that I have decided I will bet them. Based on my experience, it works best... however, certain games on the board do entice me based on the number.

Disagree with your opening statement... I think you will find the majority of people taking Kansas St here... not sure what the number will be, and not sure if Auburn will cover... but Auburn will not lose this game!

Can't argue with that last statement... and dogs are generally the better choice on Thursday night primetime...

Personally, I think you have to be a bit crazy to bet against Auburn on any line this year... they will keep covering!  But there are a handful of games that could be close, and this is one of them... simply because it's Bill Snyder and it's K St on Thursday night... 

Still, I don't think K St can handle what Auburn puts on the field...

I'm not the right person to ask about totals, Gumba... and I think it's very hard to find anywhere K St will have an edge, other than maybe FG kicker... ???  From what I've seen, Auburn's punter is pretty good... haven't seen much from their FG kicker, other than XPs...

Obviously Snyder is a legend and one of the greatest CFB coaches of all time, but Gus is the greatest right now... so no edge there!


My answers:

1)  Line will not be any lower than 7.5, I know that for certain... most likely won't be under 11.5... and don't be at all surprised if they drop a 15 on us!
2)  Line should be around 15

the tigers beat the hogs by 24..45-21and san jose st 59-13 at home 1st road game the line may be about 14 but it should be 10 so they can get k-st cash and i will wager on the tigers up to 20 bc bill snyder is a great coach but the tigers have the best team they may not cover but i trust them more than k-state i saw the k-state iowa st game and if k-st plays that way blowout city... u will be looking at a 55-24 type score bc the tigers are gonna light up the score board but can k-st keep up is the question ok.................

If you have a Betonline account, I believe they have made another opening line mistake... posting this one as Auburn (-6.5)... should create another good middle opportunity, if nothing else, when the bigger books release their lines... highly doubt it will be under 10... definitely not under 8...

It's already up to 7... got my bet in at 6.5... might take part of it back on a large middle later in the week, but probably best to just let it ride!

.     I don't see how anything that we have watched involving these 2 teams could lead anyone to take KansasSt.I don't think Kansas St would beat Arkansas..I really don't.They have a great coach with some talent.The only thing that would lead me to take KSt would be the fact Auburn got some love from Lady Luck in the 2007 when they won a game they had no business winning.No way KSt loses that game if Snyder had been the coach,but that has nothing to do with Thurs.I just don't think KSt has the horses to even make the game close.Its highly possible this offense for Auburn might be the best in SEC history and I sure don't think KSt will.

I don't boast but it's evident that we're a top 3 team in the nation. They absolutely will not be able to stop us. I'd be surpised if we win by any less than 28, but it's looking like we'll win by at least 40.
