YTD…XLarge 1-0; Large 5-2
Today’s Play:
Indiana +21.5 (LARGE)
1H Indiana +12 (small)
What folks are seeing on the surface…
-OSU: bye week to help prepare, 26 game win streak vs IU, playing much better ball…won an avg of 40 pts L4, offense is #1 in scoring, Stroud in Heisman contention.
-IU: IU playing bad ball this year, QB Penix out, and backup Tuttle playing bad: 51% completion, 28/52 LG for 188 yards, 3 picks/0TD L2.
What I see & think…
-OSU has Penn State on deck (obvious),
-I like Tuttle better than Penix…yup, heard that right. Kid made some correctable plays LG…3 costly turnovers, but kid has a better head, more confident, & better leadership skills than Penix.
-IU has played 4 top 10 teams..Iowa, Cinci, PSU, MSU…OSUs L4 teams played is not better than IU.
-OSU loves to pass to their veteran receivers , but IU DBs haven’t played bad…some injuries, but vs 4 of top 10 teams they’ve played, avg of 175 passing yards!!! Doesn’t compare to OSUs passing game, but definitely something interesting to watch.
-KICKING…IU kicking is solid. Campbell is 10-12 and 5-5 from 40-49 yds. Small part of the game most always misses analyzing.
My thoughts…IU has nothing to lose. OSU is will try to make a case for the playoffs. Prob thinking auto win today(fine tuning, taking it easy?), and get ready for the big game next weekend. Tuttle and IU, will correct some things..efficient short yardage game, ball control, minimize turnovers, & play good defense. I just see too many underlying variables public isn’t seeing in this game. I’m riding IU +21.5 Large. Seeing this as a much closer game… OSU 28/IU 24.
