@jimmy: It was a while ago, but Auburn went 32-for-151 on the ground in 2009. I wouldn't call that a run-away success, but 4.7 ypc isn't hideous.
Your point is well taken. Auburn's rushing stats were somewhat inflated in that game by a 67-yard run by WR Terrell Zachary on Auburn's 4th play from scrimmage. The 2009 game was the first meeting between Malzahn and Saban so Malzahn's scheme was still somewhat a novelty to the Alabama coaching staff. In fact if you look at the play-by-play in that game, Auburn gain most of their yardage on the ground in the first two possessions of the game - both resulting in touchdowns. After those first two possessions, Auburn has never had success running the ball again.
In 97 rushes in three games, that 67-yard rush stands alone as the only long rushing play against Alabama. In others words, a long run has occurred on exactly 1% of all the running plays against Alabama's defense. So as gamblers, are we going to put our money on the 1% probability or the 99% probability?
Furthermore, if we take away the outlier 67-yard run from the stats, Auburn rushed the ball 31 times for 84 yards, or 2.7 ypc. As you can see from the rushing stats in the subsequent games, 2.7 ypc is much more consistent with what we can expect to see in Saturday's game.

Get help man, you're obviously not mentally stable. Your mental capacity is about equivalent to that of a mentally challenged chicken.
You claim to have all this knowledge, and that you're a great capper, yet you're wrong way more than you're right, quit posting after you bragged about a 22-18 record, and then proceeds to bash someone who your fake persona could only wish to be.
Jimmy's knowledge and capping ability go far beyond what you're capable of. Jimmy has posted winning seasons here for years.
Stop returning to the 2 or 3 predictions you were correct on. You're like a tout, you hit sub 40%, raving about your wins, and simply neglecting loses.
You suffer from an ego complex, and it's clear that you need help, seriously. I'm not saying this to bash you, I'm saying this so you may realize that you need help, and possibly learn how to live a real life.
Keep calling everyone frauds, it's fine. You do realize that not one single person takes you seriously, likes you, or can even stand the words that you type.
You're a self absorbed, egotistical, narcissist, and the fact that your fake covers persona has gone down the shi*ter and has you scrambling and reaching for any possible last hope to cling on to that maybe even one person gives a flying f*ck about you or your opinion.
I don't blame you for not accepting the wager, you've already been embarrassed enough in your fantasy world.

Jimmy you also kept talking about good Ole Piss was gona be though i said many times they would finish 8-4 tops,
well 7-4 right now gona be 8-4 after tonight,
don't worry, it's documented that i picked them 8-4 in my 'seasons wagers thread' as well "ask me about any team you want and i'll predict their record'
i absolutely fukken killed it in those threads and i am just waiting for the reg season to end and i'll bump them,
you and your butt buddy sparta-kunt can weep in your beverage of choice after you see how those preseason picks turned out.
i am on a different level several tiers higher than you two "know-nothing sports-morons" will ever be.
ever.

You're clearly an extremely ill individual.
I will ensure not to bash you as I actually feel very sorry for you.

Saban has faced the Malzahn offense on 3 previous occaisions, and at no time has Malzahn's offense had any success running the ball. Saban knows this offense as well as Malzahn himself. There is nothing he can come up with that will remotely surprise Kirby Smart or Nick Saban. Nothing will change in this game. Alabama will once again completely stuff the run game, and Malzahn knows it. That's why I expect to see Auburn come out throwing the ball in an effort to open up some running lanes. That's also why I expect to see quite a bit of Jeremy Johnson. He's the better passer of the two. None of this will work mind you, but it certainly should be entertaining.
Always respect your picks and work freak, and even as an Auburn Alum wish you were more off track on your selection here. I've made a ton this year on Auburn but will not wager on them on Saturday, though I do like Auburn plus the points, my son and I will be watching from the 50yd line 7 rows up, his 1st Iron Bowl, and frankly when Auburn has a better than 9 win team, Saint Nick hasn't fared so well against Auburn, in fact he's 0 for 5, and to your point that; "Saban know's Malzahn's offense better than Malzahn himself", come on Man? I guess all this talk from Saban this week about being ready for everything like the storm he saw from Malzahn in 2009 is just Lou Holtz fodder to get his guys up? Naw, neither side has to get up for the Iron Bowl, doesn't matter the stakes being so high, as they are this year.
Saban outlasted Auburn in 2009 in Malzahn's 1st year 26-21, then lost in a 2nd half collapse 28-27 in 2010, and in 2011 beat our brains out by 34 or so. Anywho, I think everyone is missing the big picture here, A.J.McCarron may go off as Auburn focuses to stop the run, he's very underrated and a hell of a leader IMO, and secondly, I just don't believe Auburn is ready to play a full 4 quarters of football with the likes of Alabama, especially on the defensive side of the ball, where Saban runs his own unique style of defense with many confusing looks even more so on 3rd down, though I hope I'm wrong. This place is going to be crazy and I hope we come out smiling, but definitely not going to be a beat down. I took the over 54 (bought the hook) and fill final score is Alabama 35 Auburn 30.
BOL and War Damn Eagle

All I keep hearing is how great Alabama is and how Auburn doesn't have a chance. If Alabama is such a far superior opponent, why is the spread so low?
these guys are idiots. the bama homers are the biggest idiots. they were here the week of the A&M gm saying now that Saban has the tape from LY on John fb, that A&M would get shut down.
42 pts, 31 fd's, 628 yds, and A&M covers, now where are they?
oh yeah, making more excuses for their D

the wager was going to be that Bama would not score 40 offensive points, that was my wager, you took it, wanted to wager 100, i said minimum 1000, you said no.
Bama scored 14 offensive pts.
you and JWHEELS told everyone within earshot that Bama would dominate A&M, then after the game you told people here and on CTG that you had Bama -7 so you pushed. what a crock of BS
you also posted on CTG back in Sept that you would not post picks anymore because you simply were not posting winners
wow. just wow. absolutely unreal that you keep talking.
you suck
I would have been more than happy to bet you $1,000, but you said $25,000 or nothing. I can pull the thread if you want me to.
The Alabama/Texas A&M game toggled between 7 & 7.5 through Thrusday at least. I bet it at 7 when it opened, and again on Wednesday when the betting limits were relaxed. Both times I bought the half point, so I won the bet. I did not push, and no where did I post that I pushed the bet. I posted that on a Boom thread, but because Boom has been banned from that site, all of his posts have been removed. If you want to bet some money on what I posted, I'll talk to the mods and see if the post can be revived.
I don't think I posted a single winner in week 2. Horrendous week. That's unusual for me because I typically do very well in the first 2 or 3 weeks.

A 10 point spread in a rivalry game on the road?? If you're to fvkin dumb to see the writing on the wall here, then just stop betting football.. Bama rolls BIG..

you also backed up JWHEELS saying that Florida had a great shot to win the SEC East and you even wagered on them to do,
this in the face of myself and a few others telling you til we were blue in the face that you were highly overrating the Gators,
you are a fraud dude, a complete fraud
If Alabama goes on to win the national championship, my Florida bet will be the only future bet I would have lost. Unlike you who made completely asinine future bets laying ridiculous vig, most of which are/will be losers. In other words, assuming Alabama wins the national championship, I will reap a hefty profit from my future bets, not lose my azz like you will do (because you have no clue how to bet futures).

Dude, you are getting crushed on you futures bets. Do I have to bump your threads? Florida State -150 and Clemson -210??? You need four wins just to break even on those losers.

you said max $100 on the wager. ask the mods to find the pms and post them there. $100 is max is what you said. that's when i stopped discussing it with you because $100 to exchange with a total stranger is a joke.
and my futures are on the way to minimum 9 wins and 3 losses.
p.s. if Clem loses to SC this week that Under 10.5 is a winner

I like Bama to cover here. Yea, it is a tough place to play for a hated, rival road team, but Alabama will march out on that field with controlled swagger. they will not jump off sides, not make other silly mistakes like so many other teams do and grab an ealrly lead and never look back IMO. Does not take a rocket scientist to see that Auburn has not faced a defense, this year, like the one they will see Saturday afternoon. One other thing I like in Bamas favor....I think a home team, in a game like this, can get too jacked up and I believe that will happen to Auburn Saturday.
Bama 38 Auburn 20
