BC has a new coach, you know him, Bill O' Brien, an offensive mind BC fans are hoping BoB can turn QB Thomas Castellano into more than a running QB. TC threw 15 TDs, 14 pix, and completed only 57% of his passes last year. He can run though as Fl. St. found out early in the season last year. There won't be any surprises this season though.
BC returns most of their starters, 15, but did lose their two best OL. Senior RB Kye Robichaux returns after rushing for nearly 800 yds at 4.8 ypc. The defense for BC has questions mostly in the secondary.
The good news for BC is DJU is not the QB to exploit that secondary. DJ didn't have a single 300 yard game last season, most weren't even that close and he only had one the year before. FL. St. wants to win tonight they need to get back to basics, running the football, passing to move the chains, dink and dunk, that's what DJU does anyways, and defense, and they're capable. Best thing for them was playing a much improved and solid Georgia Tech team, you learn from losing.
Big advantage for the Noles having played already and they're at home. I can't lay 17 points yet on this offense that's built around running and a short passing game with a mediocre QB. What I expect tonight is the FSU defense to show up, they're talented and I'm sure pissed off too. The Noles will be better prepared for Castellano this year and I expect them to get pressure on him in passing situations, he was sacked 19 times last year including 5 times against PITT and 6 times vs Louisville so he can be got.
I can't see these teams getting into the end zone 7 times unless we have a plethora of pick 6's, scoop and scores, or special teams TDs. FL. ST. will take some shots down the field if for no other reason than to keep the defense honest, but their success will likely be limited. Ground and pound, use the clock, let your defense do their thing, turn em loose. Noles 30, BC 14, gimme the Under!
UNDER 51, -120
As always good luck to all!

Do you see Castellano being successful scrambling? I agree they will be after him and he will get flushed from the pocket, plus they probably have designed run plays for him. Leaning hard on over 55 rush yards for him.

If I had to bet, I believe over 55 would be the play. He can run and you would think he'll be able to scramble at least a couple times. Seeing that 55, thought that would be higher. It'll be a long night for BC if Castellano can't get 55 yards rushing. I see what the oddsmakers are thinking.

BC just chewing up clock, I don't care if they win if they keep controlling the ball like this. But you gotta think FL ST will make some adjustments. Let's get that NFL money, you're a good capper!
