I jumped in at +8.5 when it opened for all the reasons you list, but now am looking closer, and the fact that Malzahn has never coached a BOWL game as HC and he starts with this one is making me Jimbo is 3-0 SU and ATS in Bowls including last year's BCS Orange...might not matter since they don't make tackles from the sidelines, but the FSU talent is impressive too

Love people talking how great FSU is....
THe ACC is 3-6 in bowl games beating the powerful Ohio St, Bowling Green and Cinncy
Another great thing I think is when people say AM barely could beat Duke....Duke played in the ACC championship while AM had the 7th best SEC record

ACC is actually 4-6SU, as you missed PITT and their win over the powerful Golden Gophers
5-5 ATS also!!
ACC Loses: Maryland, Miami, G Tech, BC, V Tech, Duke
Wins: Pitt, NC, Clemson
3-6

Hookem---my point is just that Gus will be coaching his 1ST BOWL game as HEAD COACH on the huge stage of a NC game, and that Fisher has 3 bowls under his belt as HC, INCLUDING a BCS game.
I know that Gus was the OC when he had Cam Newton and a winning NC offense, but this team is not as good as that one either. As I posted in my thread a long time ago, I bought Auburn at +8.5 as soon as I saw it based ONLY on the SEC winning this game over the last 7 years. I am only now starting to look at the idea that they might be overmatched at several skill positions.

You are correct if you are referring to 1989, but are incorrect if you are referring to 2011. Board of Trustees Prez said in 2011 that FSU would join the SEC if invited. ESPN even ran on their ticker in April 2011 that FSU was a new SEC member. But they they decided to invite Missouri instead because of the TV footprint.
Haha, the footprint is about to be on Auburn's forehead tomorrow night :)
