@Newtons Law
Offer some insight then? What’s your feel here?
Texas should curbstomp Clemson if Ewers plays well & he uses Arch, their defense is a tough matchup for a Clemson team that won’t be able to run on them
the night game I want to lean Vols first half but would expect Bucs to win it, kind of feel toward vols like I did toward Indy, maybe first qtr but not the game
I liked all 4 home teams from the start to win outright, still feel the same but think Vols do have a chance if Nico plays well, their defense will give Bucs a nice fight

Penn St/SMU O51.5
Tenn/Ohio St U46.5
Vols +7.5 -120
Penn St/Texas/UTSA ML parlay -115
I lean Clemson +13.5 & Hoo liked Texas -6.5 1st H but now I'm seeing a juiced 7
I dont see Penn St or Texas losing (or being allowed to lose)....if those 2 come through, might dabble with some Coastal Carolina +10.5 for a middle try......

@Taildancing
Your response to the ‘fast frozen field’ post was obviously correct and Franklin being profitable every season. Just difficult to back him against good or elite teams.

I took Penn St - 9 for small action but will not recommend it or make it official, just can’t trust Franklin with the forums money
good luck peeps on whatever you bet for this early one

It means the grass was covered up and that keeps the temp above zero with the heat of the sun on the tarp....so when you peel it away, as the grass gets exposed to cold, the cleats dig and the surface layer firms up, it then acts like a rubberized track and you push off well with speed or power. You have to trust it and just go and don't put fear/act tentative in your feet
Canadian here, so I would know ...I play pickup now on Sundays and yes we are playing tomorrow in 20-25 F just like I just did a 5 km walk in it....beautiful day!

Good call Hoo! I am leaning under on that one with Heupel's conservative play calling vs a good team throughout much of the year...he feels his defense can hold up and they have speed. I think they match up well with Ohio St like Michigan did
UNDER 45.5 is what I played this week and don't think the cold is conducive to long passes but both teams will try....the cold air messes with the ball too much and feels like a stone the longer the game goes....not sure how many balls they rotate like the NFL but the cold sinking air affects long passes

I'm done betting for the year, but SMU is the only team in the playoffs with a negative turnover differential. That certainly showed up in the first half! I don't see a second half comeback in these weather conditions for the warm weather Mustangs.
Tennessee -Ohio St. looks like a defensive slobberknocker. Not sure the Buckeyes have recovered from the Michigan meltdown.

Excellent work as always on the Collab guys! I gotta say I was hoping one or both of you would be on Ohio St. tonight... You think the Vols keep it close huh?

Explanation, when the field or track is frozen that would mean very hard and not spongy or giving, this surface is fast but not good for ankles and legs. I have picked this up from years of handicapping thoroughbred horses.

“or being allowed to lose”
My thoughts exactly. Parlayed them on the ML for fun. Seemed written in the stars long before the sun rose this morning.
Ohio State/Vols game feels a little different.
