I am going to Sit the Oklahoma vs Clemson game out ATS as I have both to win the national Championship at 85-1/33-1 ...
believe odds makers are real sharp setting the line at -4 and begging people to take the # 1 ranked squad as a ML DOG OF +160 OR MORE
Must say I am shocked to see you on Clemson , as I feel Oklahoma is about a TD+ better ( in my non Humble Opinion) ...
I Love the Fact that Oklahoma has gone on the Road and Won vs some very good squads , while Clemson has won their big games at Home ( other than the ACC championship) //
AS per USUAL YOU COULD BE SPOT ON ...

Some very good info that came in handy last year and I'm sure will this year too:
I realized back in the eighties that when we got to big games, playoff games, bowl games championship games that if you picked the winner, you would win about eighty five percent of the time.By that i mean unlike during the season there are very few back door covers. So i use a line of ten or below.Unrealistic to ask a seventeen point underdog to win outright. The favorite either covers or the underdog wins outright rendering the line fairly meaningless.Look at last year, for example.Ohio State was an underdog to Wisconsin,Alabama and Oregon.Won them all outright.I personally won't bet a dog if i don't think they can win the game outright.i think there are forty two bowl games.I would venture to say if you picked the right winner, not easy to do because you don't know which dogs will bark, you will be about 36-6 best of luck.
Hopefully many of you find this to be beneficial this bowl season. GLA

Alert MEGALOCKS subscribers will note that we have been on ROLL TIDE all year - not to say that is any big deal - but we are still very high on them and note that they are playing their best football IMO right now. One could argue the same for Sparty - especially their D. Could to wait on a potential play for now.
For Who Have They Played Guy...Bama has the #4 rated schedule per Sagarin and has SEVEN (7) wins against Sagarin's top 30 rated teams. Nobody else has more than 5. That may mean nothing. Just thought we would note it for the record. While doing this - and playing some pretty good QBs vs Ark, Ole Miss, Miss St - etc...They have a stupid good front 7 which makes their secondary look even better.....#2 rated D - #1 vs the run....Last wk vs Florida NOBODY had over 10 yards rushing .....Florida did not make a 3rd or 4th down conversion....and we are NOT saying Mich St is the same on offense - BUT - just pointing out Alabama is playing the best D in the NCAA by far and have only given up 20+ twice this year....Last 5 games - 16 6 6 13 15. Meanwhile - Cook is a decent QB - but Mich St has scored 24 17 16 in three of the last 4 games and that was vs the D of Maryland Ohio St and Iowa. We do not see the 78th ranked rushing attack doing much - and find it hard to see them MATRICULATING consistently in the passing game.
What we do see for Sparty is a D that is improving - 7 14 16 13 last 4 games - and Maryland Ohio St Iowa all have decent offenses - weather issues or no weather issues - They are peaking on D....Held Iowa to 52 yds rushing last wk and 3/12 on 3rd downs....Very fine performance Iowa gets a bad rap on offense but one way or another they scored 27+ in 11/12 games before last wk. Mich St also rated #4 in turnover margin and are obviously extremely well coached. 10 points is a pretty fair number.
One final note. Alabama has outgained their opp by over 2100 yards ......Michigan St by only 700 yards....May not sound like much of a difference but it is pretty huge IMO. It really shows up in defensive yds per play with Bama only allowing 4.2 yds per play ranked #2 - Sparty #52 at 5.38.
Summary. Lean Mich St TT under. Would not go lower than 17.5. We think if you like Sparty - maybe try them first half on game day might be able to get 6+. Right now not convinced that Sparty can hang for 4Q but do not see line value. We may add a play on this game once we get closer to game day. Gonna sit tight for now.

Never overestimate Nevada--or motto, "we strive for mediocrity"
Air Force--Really?
Actually like Utah State--will be nippy at Boise
Boise State-lost interest
Would like to think the #1 team in the MW can beat Cincinnati, but I also believe in Santa Claus.
A side note, you have made this the most enjoyable college football season ever. I can only imagine the hard work you put in, but it is so was greatly appreciated. To risk posting your picks among these wonderful cappers and not worry about your reputation has won my admiration. Thank you and I wish the very best for you and your family.
thanks for the kind words !! ....BOL during bowl season enjoy the games

Great write-up on the Bama/MSU game Mega. I just had a buddy leave my office who is a MSU grad and of course loves his team and wants them to win. He also is a heavy player and does well at it. He knows the MSU team well. He was saying many of the same things you just wrote and sees it that way too. He leans Bama, though he won't bet it
Sincerely,

Thanks Mega for all your time and research. Really interested on your take on the AAC bowls this year. 7 of them. Can Memphis beat Auburn after falling hard the last month of the year? Tulsa 13.5 against VT seems juicy. Can't wait for your analysis. Thanks as always and best of luck this bowl season!!

Mega! Great job in the regular season!! I thoroughly enjoyed reading your writeups and of course trying (unsuccessfully) to emulate your emoticon game
I'm glad to see that Clemson was your first pick, although Oklahoma could certainly win this game by 10+ I like Clemson here. I'm not trying to be "Homer pick guy" or "Fade the public guy" but I haven't seen a media "expert" or average Joe think Clemson can win this game.
I also want to add that although Clemson has some very solid players on D, their depth is pretty thin and some of their starters played a ton of snaps (particularly at LB)...I think this long layoff will really help their D bounce back to its mid-season form.
Hope Clemson comes through for you again! GL!

Anything Crack-A-Licious brewin?... I showed up here the week after Wyoming CPS and would break my heart to go crackless TY.
A&M/Ville Under 50.5 (up from 48). It aint crack but warming up to it - liked the under with Allen in but now we get a dose of Murray and that 3rd guy. Ville run game is really hit and miss and dependent on QB Jackson's legs and A&M's DLs make the pocket collapse quick. A&M gets a TFL every 8 plays (sack every 10 plays) and L'ville does about as well TFL every 11, sack every 9. So good D's meet Questionable QB's and hit and miss run games...... But expect a shootout because A&M does have a couple good WR's haha.
