I watched mich states game vs minn. mich st 1 and 3 tech are garbage. they don't cross face and get to the ball and don't dominate and create a new line of scrimmage off the ball. I like their defensive philosophy of wrong shouldering the kickout and getting the linebacker over the top to take the spill, but Stanford is going to base the end and lead up with the backside og. and mich st is without bullough in the middle.
Stanford's qb is terrible but I think they run the ball effectively on mich st.
Stanford has faced 7 of the top 36 offenses holding them to an avg of 18 points while mich st has faced 3 of the top 36 holding them to an avg of 19 points. and mind you, one of those 3 was mich which padded their stats vs the likes of Indiana and c mich.
yes, Michigan states offense is much different than the spread offenses Stanford saw in the pac 12. but that's the thing... Stanford has speed deficiencies in the front 7 you would think a spread offense can take advantage of and they couldn't. now they match up versus an offense more suited to their strengths on defense.
I teased Stanford. hopefully we both win. not saying you're wrong, but just trying to generate some discussion. good luck
