I would argue he was and has been out coached in big games. I didn't find out until this morning that Kelly was talking big noise about blowing out FSU on his Pod cast last week. FSU had a little different motivation last night. They're still not a contender IMO. They have a habit of playing down to competition.

That was a 2002 offense. It made no sense and he didn’t run that style at ND, ever. Not what I expected. They didn’t establish the run at all. Fireable offense

I've always respected his play calling and his ability to get more out of average quarterbacks but after last night, I'm done. I really think he's losing it. His ability to choke in big games is glaring and he may need to revert to the ACC or MAC. He can win when lights aren't as bright.
agree he was terrible how can a guy like this get more from his team. Florida st coach did complete opposite and st made great adjustments at half. Came out like a different team and blasted Lsu to oblivion

I think it was less to do about Kelly's in-game coaching and more about how FSU was a much better conditioned team than LSU. It showed in the 2nd half.

Don't know about conditioning but they were simply better coached. They showed many adjustments at half which lead to multiple scores.
