Temple's offense should put up points with PJ Walker leading it, Vandy's D lost a lot from last year. Temple's D is terrible outside Matakevich. I'm also leaning towards Temple +17 but i think the over will be the best play here.

1st week 1 play for me

Tough opening game spot for UCLA, cross country flight, morning kickoff, and dealing with some issues on campus now as camp opened up. Virginia's D is pretty decent and returns a lot from last year but did lose Brent Urban who was a tank on the D Line and had a good amount of passes batted down

Navy returns a lot from a good team a year ago, OSU breaking in a lot of new players. Navy is well disciplined and runs the triple option well. OSU has Va Tech next week

2 of the better MAC defenses in this game, this is usually a low scoring game( last year Kent pounded it down a worn out Ohio D), i expect this to be low scoring and close....think this game is a threat for OT which scares me a little, But i see Kent winning a close game 20-17ish

What up brother!? Glad to see you around.
I dont disagree with the Temple over play, I'm just curious what you think of the Vandy O. They have some big holes to fill and I dont know if they will be ready to exploit a weak D in week 1. Also, PJ is a stud....but he will be facing an SEC defense. I look for Temple to do a lot of running and Vandy to be very vanilla. 52 is very doable, but I like Temple a little more I think. Looks like a 27-24 type game to me, but 34-30 wouldnt surprise.
I love Navy and the Ohio U.
I am leary of Virginia. Sure its an early start time for UCLA, but its week one, so I think that minimizes that angle. The Bruins should have the advantage at most positions and UVA's qb will be raw. I keep envisioning a 48-17 game. I think Virg 1st H might hold some value if you can get 14.5 or better....

Not really taking Virginia seriously, they have the home and time advantage with a Noon Time kickoff, but on the field I expect a close first half and the Bruins blow out the Cavs in the 2nd half, Bruins cover, 45-14.

I like Penn St here in the debut of Franklin at the helm, i really like UCF and their defense but i think they lost way too much with Bortles and Storm here to hang with Penn St...I liked how Hackenberg came out as a true freshman and played last year and im pretty interested to see how he plays in year 2, add in the revenge from last year's game and this is Penn St's bowl game as they are in year 3 of their 4 year ban( which i think will get reduced to 3 years when they get another reduction of their penalty in about a month, but thats a discussion for another day)....also hoping for an easy penn st win here to get an inflated line in week 2 vs Akron

I like Colorado St to win this outright, like what they return on D, 8 of the top 10 tacklers, i think they have the better special teams, and i think they have the better QB....only concern for me for the Rams is the play of their OLine, but i feel like the Buffaloes will not be able to fully take advantage

You really think Navy can or will cover?

Not sure how much UCLA lost from last season, but UVA has gone south under London. He switched the starting QB's this season. I have seen a lot of UVA games over the past few seasons and there just isn't much chemistry on that team. London has recruited well but it has not transferred to the field. 22 or 23 points is a ton to be laying on the road, but I think Oregon was laying close to that number last season and blasted UVA. I just didn't see much out of UVA at the end of the season last year to make me think they are starting to turn things around. London is definitely on the hot seat. Might have to have a winning record to keep his job which I don't see happening. I am going to have to read up more on UCLA to see if it warrants laying that many points on the road.
