Cam Ward not playing 2nd half should have been reported , Miami did nothing but run the whole 2nd half and still should have won, up 6 and without a QB that can throw honestly that is suppose to be reported for Gambling purposes how does Iowa st even feel about winning a game like this, wonder how they felt when 2nd half started and he was not going to play, miami's defense got strong in 2nd half, I mean both scores by Iowa st from inside the 5 took like 7 plays and 8 plays to go 3 yds and 4 yds as a bettor everyone should wonder about this stuff they knew he was not going to play

Lol, 'how does Iowa St feel?' oh, they're all broken up about it you could see from the raucous celebrations.
College football is a joke and the bowls are, now more than ever, the worst of all the bad parts of the game magnified even more.
Now you don't just have coaches bailing and kids opting out for NFL, they opt out to try and transfer as soon as they have anything resembling a few decent reps on tape.
The CFP means the kids care even less about these games. Those are the only games I'm betting on bowl season any more. None of this pop tart BS.

I took Miami -3.5 in a six ponts teaser and It barely covered. Did Ward took himself out of the game or was it a coach decision? But whatever it was, it is BS!!!

It was reported on the local radio wqam pregame repeatedly, and it made sense, he surpassed the cfb td record and was safely intact for the nfl draft...
(Rum151 big fan thx for posting here...just sharing I knew and figured it was likely so only took Miami 1h as a side but bombed the over regardless here,
again much respect thx for the posts mr!)

NCCA has totally ruined bowl season. They really might as well cancel the bowls now and just do the 12 team playoffs. Been gambling for 45 years and bowl season was always great with lots of good games, even if you didnt bet them. Now bowl season sucks. Might as well change the NCCA to NFL JR league.
Very few players ever missed bowl games. Now you got tons of guys on every team sitting out.

You're absolutely correct. College football is not a team game anymore and everybody is their own business. People wanted College Athletes to get paid, They got what they asked for... Is the product better now because of NIL, Absolutely not. College Football has become an absolute mess..

I agree. They should just cancel all the bowl games. These teams are not even the same teams they were during the season. The transfer portal and those opting out for the NFL is just not right. Talk about getting injured, part of the game. You can get injured crossing the street or going up or down the stairs. Just Bull$hit all of it. How can a player College or Pro just decide they are not going to play the second half of a game. This is just totally not right.

I'd like to see them go with 2 fields of 24. A National Championship Bracket, and an NIT bracket. Make the games mean something. Collect some money from those who host, or the tv package, and pay out each player a winners share ($10,000 per player per game, or something to that affect). That would give you 48 combined playoff spots, and give teams like the Gophers and UNLV an NIT playoff they can win. If you invite 24 to the Nat'l championship, you're going to include anyone who has a real chance to win it. So teams like this years Miami, Bama, Cocks, and Ol'Miss wouldn't have gotten left out. Then a guy like Cam isn't going to sit out the 2nd half of a playoff game.

College football is changing in a lot of ways, but ya the bowl system is sht.
But Cam's not going to risk 8 or 9 figures on a potential career ending injury. Just to cater to people who bet on Miami.
Anyway. Ted Ginn jr did same thing to the Buckeyes in 2007 after his opening kickoff return for a touchdown. His dad made the decision for him. So it's happened before.

WHAT AMAZES ME IS THAT YOU PLAY SHOULDER TO SHOULDER WITH YOUR BROTHERS AND THEN ABANDON THEM TO GO TO THE PORTAL OR DRAFT. SO THE PLAYERS IN THE FINAL 8 ARE MORE OR LESS PRONE TO INJURY OR ARE NOT LOOKING TO GUARANTEE THEIR FUTURE...................GIVE ME A BREAK
NEW DEAL, YOU MAKE THE TEAM, YOU GET A SCHOLARSHIP , ITS TREATED LIKE A CONTRACT AND MUST FULLFILL IT TO THE END.
