Cal seems to have a massive advantage on defense vs the ducks offense. Cal's D line should be able to handle the O line for Org all day long. Masoli is proving his worth as a passer to anybody who's paying attention. With the ducks #116 (!!!) in passing that really seems to simplify the gameplan for tedford's crew. Keep in mind that masoli wasn't able to pad his passing stats at all (163 yds) vs a PURD team that's #94 in pass D. And ORG nearly lost that game straight up at home.
To me this line's got 6 pts baked into it for the 'Autzen' factor. This year that's just not enough to get the ducks the cover.
Riley was the only ? I had for CAL on Off this year. The guy has stepped up and delivered 3 straight covers. Best is clearly the premier back in the country right now and seems to only be getting better with each game.
Chip Kelly is fortunate to be 2-1 at this point. He sure as hell hasn't outcoached anybody yet. Don't expect that to change with this game. Masoli has lost 2300 yds of production out of his backfield since they beat OKST in the bowl. Kelly knows that masoli can NOT handle that kind of a dropoff (by throwing) but what other options does this offense give him?

Cal and Oregon play a lot of close games. On paper Cal is 14+ points better. Maybe the lights will go out again in the 4th quarter if Cal is covering the number? Or maybe there will some questionable calls/booth reviews like vs OK?

I like cal also but I think this oregon team is going to be playing with a lot of desperation. A loss and the season is done if somehow they beat cal everything changes and oregon becomes a contenter again.

imma gna go against everyone here and say i like oregon to win..... they are playing with confidence now beating purdue and utah who btw had the nations longest winning streak...they found a running back in lamarcus james andsurprising theyre defense held utah to under 300 yds total....cal struggled somewaht at minnesota and now has to travel to Autzen where it is notoriously loud and crazy....past couple of times these games have been close and i thnk this game masoli finally breaks out of his passing woes...GO DUCKS!!!! Ore-31 Cal-28

Cal looks good but their 2 big wins were at home against Maryland (look at their other games) and Eastern Washington. Pulled away late at Minnesota but was tied in the 4th quarter. Oregon struggled early but the offensive line looking better and defense is just as fast as Cal's (albeit less experienced). Turnovers will likely decide this one. Can you trust Riley at Autzen? Should be a great game but laying a TD at Autzen is heavy. One of the best games of the week.
