CFB Picks and why - week 4

Record stands at 33-18.   We have had 3 positive weeks – let’s try to keep it rolling.  Let’s look at some numbers:

68.5        Cincinnati          7              42           78           182        

-6.5        Memphis            8              55           43           132        

The o/under in this game opened up as a 68.5 currently around 66.5.    Cincy is better in total off., total def., while Memphis has a better sagarin rank and sagarin sched. Strength.   When you have this scenario it’s best to take the over.   The over looks like the obvious play, which does make me pause but I looked at the numbers and history shows with scenarios like this – often the teams score a lot of points and cover the over – obvious or not.   I’m taking the over.

Blue - I hadn't but started seeing patterns in the numbers over the last couple of years so I've being playing them as well.

I'm still looking at a few things i'll try to post my plays in a little while. 

Tonites games you want to be careful due to changes in qb.  That being said – I still think Stanford will get it done no matter who is qb.  My plays for week 4:

1.   Over cincy/Memphis 66.5    2. Stanford – 14.5

3.   Mich – 6.5   4.  Nevada Pk    5. TCU – 6.5 

6. Tex A&M – 7   7. Middle Tenn +4.5   8.  Ohio +10  

9.   UlLaffy  - 8   10.   Ga sthrn  - 16  11.  Okst – 3

12.  Iowa – 25.5  13. Ecar + 10

Achilles - i'll start looking at that on Saturday nite....sunday morning.....if I have anything i'll post it then.

narco - as a lean i'd go with virgina.

az - a lot of times you see a lot of points scored with the scenario in the Virginia game - but due to the qb change - I would be careful.
