NORTH CAROLINA -5
Well aware if Duke pulls this one off they go to the ACC Championship game but I like the way UNC has been playing of late and I like they can get some revenge against these same Dukies that knocked UNC out of a title shot last season. UNC at home has been money this year covering 5 of 6 and winning by nearly 20 ppg. Duke struggled last week at Wake Forrest while UNC hung 80 on Old Dom as 17 point favorites. Also like that UNC is 22-2 SU in this series, just hope they win this one by at least a TD.
COLORADO ST - 16 1/2
Normally stay away from these big spreads but I have to play State here against probably the worst AirForce team Ive ever seen. State needs a win here to solidify a Bowl and I think they take out some frustration after last weeks poor showing against Utah State.
TCU +14
Baylor's bubble got smashed last week against my State Cowboys and one has to wonder what their mind set is coming into this one. TCU and Baylor know each other quite well and this is TCU's Bowl game. It is a little misleading to look at the history between these two because Baylor used to be so bad but I still like the fact that TCU has covered 5 of the last 6 against the Bears and have a defense good enough to keep em in it..
USC -3 (hook)
SC continues to get me to the pay window and I'm going to ride them again as they are out to revenge last season's butt whooping they took at UCLA. Like that SC has covered 7 of 8 at home against UCLA and in fact the home team overall is 12-4 ats in the series. Look for the SC defense to wreak havoc against the Bruins offense and put together a dominating effort in this one. Totals players may note the under has cashed 6 of the last 7 between these two.
MISSOURI -4 1/2
This Missouri team really impresses me. I have been slow to hop on the wagon as they have covered every game except one this year. In that one I happened to be on South Carolina and couldn't believe they gave that game away in the 4th qtr. I thought after they gave that one away they would fall apart. They've done just the opposite. This defense is giving up 10 ppg since that loss and Mizzou has won all three by an average of 24 ppg. Bottom line for me is Missouri has a defense capable of rattling Johnny while A & M's defense is non existent. This one may get ugly.
AUBURN +11
I wasn't going to mess with this one but I gotta have a little action on it. I'd like to lay the lumber with Bama because of their defense but 11 points is a ton especially when I look at Auburn's 6-0 ats record as a home dog of 14 or less. I'm very concerned about Auburn being able to move the ball on this stingy Bama D but they are averaging over 45 a game over their last 7 games. This will be Bama's stiffest test on the road all season and I'd rather be taking 11 vs laying 11.
