Every bowl game can be seen as a "trap game" with this kind of analysis. Sounds like a coin flip game. Who knows?
The Eagles are 3-1-1 ATS in their last five neutral-site games and 5-2 ATS in their last seven on turf. Boston College is 2-7 ATS in their last nine bowl games and 1-5 ATS in the last six after a straight-up win.
Meanwhile, the Bearcats are 6-2 ATS in their last eight on turf and 1-4 ATS in their last five Thursday games. Cincinnati is 1-4 ATS in the last five versus the ACC and 0-4 ATS in the last four bowl games.

I thought the Baylor game was a trap, dozens of players sat out for Georgia.
It was a trap. The players sitting out was PUBLIC information and a good amount of bettors in this forum went large on Baylor. I mentioned in a thread hours be4 kick of that it would be funny if Georgia covered bc Baylor was the "backup/bail out" plan for most bettors who had a bad day.
"Schrödinger's bet." A bet that loses when you bet it but wins when you DON'T bet it...

Needless to say, the books made back some money from that legal casino robbery that took place at 4 pm when Alabama covered for the full game.. I can't wait to read an article this week about how much sports books lost with Alabama covering the full game spread. Ironically, good thing the bama game didn't go over. That would have been then "nail in the coffin."

I had +14 from earlier in-game when they were down a TD in the first Q. Why tf did Saban go for the TD instead of kneeling? Classless piece of dookie.

line is at -7.5, so not a "trap game" in the traditional sense. If it was at a key number like -6.5 or -7 and not moving, I'd be more leery. 7.5
UGA game made perfect sense - wished I had backed out of my Baylor wager (placed on Dec.30th) once I saw that they had 6 starters sitting. A school like UGA or other powerhouse Div 1A teams have multiple blue chip players on their depth charts at each position. This all results in two psychological game impacts:
1. You just promoted 6 backups, who are probably almost as good as the starters, and are going to play their asses off b/c of the 1 game starting opportunity (i.e. no real drop-off in overall team performance)...
2. Baylor overconfidence - hard pressed to not think some of the Baylor players were thinking we just have to show up today, and it will be an easy win...
Had Baylor at +5.5, so had some hope for the backdoor in the 4th, but not to be.
I still like Cincy a a small play in this game. Both of those details (RB out and 2nd String QB) have been out there for a while. Line has adjusted. Ditto for coach leaving. Cincy 31 BC 19.

They always freaking kneel when you don't want them to kneel because it'll ruin your bet...... When YOU Don't want them to kneel, they freaking go for the TD

BC has a very capable 2nd running back. He’s big and physical and runs hard. I can see BC controlling the line of scrimmage. Also wonder about motivation for Cincy. They were in line for the Cotton and two losses to Memphis later they are in this garbage bowl the day after NE.

I think the 7.5 number is right, as Cinci is definitely the favorite but need to win by a touchdown plus a score.
First of all, BC's rushing system is what gains yards, not just Dillon himself. Bailey had nearly 1000 yards as a backup and the team averages 267 rushing yards per game, so while missing Dillon is not great, I don't think it will have such a massive impact.
Next, the QB for Cinci has not been good since he came back from an injury. No throwing TDs and under 50% completion in his past three games. Cinci lost their last two against a good Memphis team, but also only scraped by teams like Temple, USF, East Carolina and UCF by all 4 points or less. For that reason, 7.5 in a neutral-site game is a pretty big spread for them.
It's going to be 56 degrees and raining in Birmingham for the game, so it should be sloppy. I like BC's ability to run the ball in that situation, keeping it a close game.
I think it will go under the 55 total and like BC +7.5, as I see this something of a 23-20 type game in bad weather.

They are supposed to issue a flood warning later this evening due to the amount of rain they are getting. I hopped on u55 last night, I can see that number dropping leading up to kickoff.
