I trust Dabo and Clemson in these types of games. Now that Clemson is healthy on defense they’ve played much better than the first 4-5 games of the season. I’m curious how big of a factor the OC being out will have. Leaning Clemson in this one but haven’t pulled the trigger. If it hits 7 tomorrow I may fire away.

I will personally be taking Clemson, I think Ohio state will score and it won’t be that tough for them. But Ohio states d has gotten a lot worse since last year. I think that Clemson gets 2 more stops that matter in this one

I hear ya man. I just think it’s Bama and Clemson then everyone else. OSU is that way in the Big 10, but I’m not a believer in them against Bama or Clemson. I can’t get a few things out of my head, their abysmal performance against NW and on the flip side, their 16 point lead last year in this same game. Both teams lost a bunch of talent to the draft last year but I think Clemson may have lost a little bit more on defense. This one is definitely tough.

One more thing to my last post about their performance against NW, they had 20 guys out. So that is a factor but it’s NW and they’re a much more talented team than NW, even the backups. Maybe I’m reading into that game too much...

I do think them having people out had an effect on that NW game but not that much, they should of still been able to cover multiple times. The execution was completely off and I can’t expect it to get that much better in a few weeks.
clemson has been on the field twice as long and I just expect them to be ready to play as they are during these playoffs. They are healthy but without the OC. I just do not trust Ohio state D at all anymore it’s a shell of last year

Likely will be a tighter game than Bama-Notre Dame. I'm passing on it, maybe a second half bet. The best games to watch are the ones you have no money on.

No one gives ohio st a chance. Clemson coach ranks them at #11 only because they played 6 games this season. This is one of the dangerous team in the country. Clemson defense has been weaker comparing to their last two championships team. And offense have been above average. Their two games against ND was not impressive. Ill take the plus points and sprinkle a little $$$ on the ML. Gl fellas

Amen brother. It's funny everyone bases OSU off the game against NW. Let's remember OSU was down a lot of starters for that game. It's not like NW is a scrub team this year. They're ranked 14th in the country.
OSU is a much more rounder team than Clemson is. OSU can beat you with both the running game and passing game. Clemson is only good at passing. OSU's secondary is much younger this year, is why they don't appear to be as good. It's not that they suck, it's because they're very raw and young. That will happen when you lose two starting CB's just about every year to the 1st round of the NFL.
OSU has a big game, and they win outright, with a HIGH SCORING GAME.

More speed .. More agility .. More athleticism.. & a proven stud who does nothing but win !! No disrespect to OSU .. but Clemson is just different !!! Same with Alabama ... just my opinion

Heres my newbie 2 cents, and I am from Youngstown, Ohio. Buckeyes fan, I do not think Clemson is as good as last year, OSU either, especially on def. OSU will score but I do not think Day can outcoach Dabo. OSU wins on pure talent at wr etc. I really cannot see Clemson losing.
I like it! I like it alot!

One more addition, all the starters out had zero to do with Fields decision making. He threw a screen pass and there was a NW defender right there. Throw it away. He is not smart enough to win this game, coupled with Days schemes!

Agreed. Think back on the 2018 playoff, where Alabama was expected to win the playoff easily and establish themselves as a the football dynasty of the previous decade. Lo and behold, Clemson dominates them, and we realize what we've been watching all along wasn't Alabama, but Clemson establishing themselves as a premier football program. I think we have a similar situation here, and we may learn tonight that Clemson very well may be the best team in the country.

clemson is the best team in college football easy double digit victory here for the tigers who have a huge mismatch on offense. ohio state is here because of their reputation...this is a huge step up in class for them. this is not the osu we usually see in the playoffs.
LMAO... Really??? No Ohio State offense. Does Clemson have the run game OSU has????? OSU has two backs, not 1. OSU's WR's are much better than Clemson's. Everyone has to remember, the defense for Clemson is not like past. No Lawrence, Wilkins, and or Simmons running around. Good luck trying to stop OSU's attack. They can get you both running and throwing. IF BC Torched Clemson this year running, imagine what OSU will do to them. Good luck,

People are underestimating the loss of Haftley at DC for Ohio State. He made a talented group from 2018 an elite group in 2019. big regression on that side of the ball this year. Haven't really played any great teams yet this year & now have to flip the switch for Clemson? JK Dobbins was a machine last year vs Clemson and he's gone. Sermon or Teague aren't Dobbins. Put it in Fields hands & he makes awful decisions when he's pressured. You can guarantee Venables will be dialing up pressure from all over the place today. Most importantly, the Tigers are healthier at LB which is where their defense runs through. I think they'll perform way better on that side of the ball this time around vs Ohio State & Lawrence will take care of the rest. I think this score is closer to the 2016 game than the 2019 one. Motive on both sides with the low ranking from Dabo & the defensive sign stealing accusation from Day. When it comes down to it though, Ohio St has recruited at an ELITE (alabama like) level the past several seasons and haven't won anything of significance. They just don't win these games vs the other top tier schools.

The reason they're weak on the defensive side of the ball is Youth. You will have that, when you lose two NFL 1st round picks in the secondary every year. Plus lose a Chase Young that will happen. Those players are young, but remember one thing. OSU's offensive line is one of the best lines in America.
