Bama beat the SEC Champion....LSU beat the Rose Bowl Champion, the Orange Bowl Champion...and the "National Champion"....more impressive resume in my opinion...

LSU beat Alabama in Tuscaloosa.

Alabama beat LSU at a neutral site.

LSU is your national champion.

Not a fan of eitha team but alamaba is clearly national champions.  The 1st time they played was very similar to 2nite Bama outplayed lsu all game but failed to capitalize 2nite they did capitalize.   But I agree system sux

This post must be by one of the retarded swamp people. Lsu scores 9 points in 8 quarters and 1 overtime period and gained 92 total yards in the national championship game (are you kidding 92 yards) in their backyard where they won 2 national championships before and people want to say they are the champs?  One word ....Bullshit

Do the #1 seed in the AFC always play the #1 seed in the NFC? Did the Heat win the NBA Title last year? The Bulls had the best record in the NBA, did they win it all last year? The Pats went undefeated and lost in the Superbowl.... bottom line. The #1 seed or the "best team" doesn't always win the championship, so to automatically put the #1 and #2 seeded teams in the big dance is bullshit now. The best team in the playoffs, or at that time, is the team that wins the championship. Oregon, Wisconsin, Boise St., Oklahoma State etc... These teams could easily be the national champions right now. Of course, they were neither #1 or #2 seed so it cannot be possible, unfortunately.

And the Heat werent the best team last year...it clearly was the Dallas Mavericks...the most complete team. You cant compare any of that to college football...college football has a flawed system and its embarrassing to college football...

He said tonight they were...LSU went 13-1 and beat 8 ranked teams...Bama 12-1 and beat 5 ranked teams...LSU had the tougher schedule...Co-Champs in my mind...win your division in your conference Bama and then you'll get my respect...

So be honest with urself without looking at the score in the 1st game between these two who did u think was the better team.  It was clearly bama in both games and 2nite they capitalized on their chances that they failed to do in 1st game that they dominated also

The way this college system is supposed to be played out, the first game should have basically been a playoff game. They lost, their kicker choked, thats part of football. A win is a win and a loss is a loss. If they played again and LSU won 2-0 with Bama missing 10 FGs, would you still say Bama is better? LSU won the SEC meaning they were the best team in the SEC this year, Bama couldnt win their division, they lost their chance at home...Ok St should have played in that game...

So O2blahblah... You think that the team that averaged 4.5 points and 161 yards in 2+ games against Alabama is the Champ? You obviously are just trying to seek attention after you lost all your dough.I would change the BCS too but the bottome line os that they always get it right

Oklahoma State lost to an unranked opponent in Iowa State, that is why they were not playing tonight. The two best teams were playing tonight and Bama was the better prepared team on this night.
