Advice?

Be very cautious with how much you bet .....and remember that both UPSETS and FLUKES can happen! Untimely penalties, Bad officiating, poor decision making, lucky breaks like a blocked FG or pick-6...and of course completely unexpected KEY PLAYER INJURIES! Make any bet on Buckeyes fully acknowledging this is a real possibility.

Still stinging from a HUGE bet on 4 TD HOME FAV Notre Dame to easily win SU  vs. vastly inferior Northern Illinois in week 2...

More recently, BAMA was a 2 TD fav and lost...

S.Carolina was a 10 point fav and lost...

Pitts were a TD fav and lost...

I'll likely bet on OSU as well ....but no more than any other bet...

Anyone else on Ohio State ML

Going to throw this out there. Every playoff team that had a bye and extra weeks off had a bad 1st half. Together outscored 81-21. So did the winning teams look better then they actually are? Which bye team was "off their game" the most? 

Hard to say. I'm thinking Oregon was the worse off the bye and made the Buckeyes look even better. Yet still believe Bucs are the better team on paper.

I wouldnt  fly anywhere to bet on a will howard and ryan day moneyline. but it seems like every single person in here loves the buckeyes so what could go wrong?

This is not to be a bad comment on you personally BUT you are exactly the type of player than Vegas makes money off of.  You (and I suspect many of us probably including myself to some degree) are getting pulled in by the "recency" factor where we see how well Ohio State has played in the first two games and assume that they will continue to do so against Texas. All of us who have gambled for decades know that while it is some sort of predictive and determining factor past performances are not solely going to dictate the next result.  So many factors go into a game.  Should Ohio St beat Texas....sure, it seems like they should.  Will they? That's another question.  

I would temper your judgment just a tad......

Reno only 3 hrs away.  I'm going this Friday if it doesn't snow because I have a rear wheel drive Stang n that's trouble go the snowy road.

Just a few weeks ago Day was an idiot, and should be fired.  Now he's a genius, and Texas has no chance ??

Don't forget Texas was arguably, the nation's best team (overall) for much of the year, AND they have a habit of playing to the level of their opponent.

Just make a reasonable play on OSU if you like 'em - and add to it live/2H maybe.  It wouldn't surprise me at all if Texas jumped out to an early lead - hit the Buckeyes then.
