Does anyone think it matters that Auburn is from the SEC

They are from the only conference to have won the BCS championship game and you get 9 points.
Help me, it seems too easy.

Ill help....it is easy!!! Auburn plus the pts is the play.
I saw how Duke kinda hung around with FSU and forcing that 'frosh' QB to make a few mistakes. Duke's talent level is nowhere near what Auburn brings to this game. 
The SEC will go out the reigning Champions of the BCS.

4 weeks to prepare for that offense will look like what happens against Georgia Tech in every bowl game. We have the best and healthiest defense that AU will have faced this year. 

Auburn presents no challenges on Defense. FSU just torched the 2nd best defense the SEC has and our coach is 4-1 against the big mighty SEC and has yet to lose a bowl game. 

Oh and we bring the wood, just ask Marcus Lattimore who was knocked the F out by a lil ol' FSU CB in a bowl game... 

The biggest comparison is how these teams played in their biggest road game....Auburn ish'ed the bed at LSU...0 pts at half and I think FSU just scored again against Clemson. The same Clemson team that beat LSU in a bowl game....

Outside of Trey Mason, I'm not sure anyone from Auburn would start on this FSU team...Nick Marshall better improve his ball handling or it's good night sweetheart....

you should really get off the crack...What makes you think FSU can stop Auburns offense?  Bama couldnt, Mizzo couldnt..2 pretty good defenses...Auburn isnt Duke, Florida or Idaho....Auburn will do good to hold FSU to 35 points,, can FSU keep Auburn under 30, ya better hope so...I dont think they can..thats what makes all this fun...good luck...Auburn and the points and over

I thought Lou Holtz made a pretty good point.

He said Florida St. with their coaching staff and players recruited basically are an SEC team..

all you SEC fans are in for a big surprise.  break this down past the "Missouri and Alabama couldn't stop them" and look at actual position and scheme matchups if you want to make some money.

Florida State should win this game. It doesn't matter if they play in the ACC. Florida State is a complete team on both sides of the ball. They have one of the best offenses and one of the best defenses. 

Auburn can run the hell out of the football. But there defense is in big trouble here. FSU can run it and throw it. This will be the best offense Auburn has seen all year. I can't see Auburn getting much in the passing game on FSU's defense.(not that they'll try much).  And I don't see Auburn scoring every time they run the football either. Maybe against a swiss cheese defense like Texas A&M's. FSU's defense is too good for that.

IMO Auburn will need to score at least in the mid forties to win this game. I just don't see it happening. FSU will put up at a minimum of 40 in this game. They could put up 50 or more.

Georgia had Auburn beat at Auburn. Could have had an INT and the game would have been over. Alabama missed four field goals against them. This game will be played at a neutral site. Defense wins championships. FSU 48 Auburn 34.

I remember 2010 when Auburn was outmatched and going to get shredded by Oregon and their offense (according to Cover's folk). 

Auburn's defense was NOT good in 2010.  They gave up 24.5 points a game.  Oregon scored 49.5 points a game.

This year, Auburn gives up 24.0 points a game.  FSU scores 53.0 points a game.  Very similar.

They held Oregon to 19 points and won the game.

Also, Oregon's D held opponents to 18pts/game with a Top 5 SOS in 2010.

FSU holds opponents to 10pts/game with THREE TIMES an easier schedule than 2010 Oregon or 2013 Auburn.

What? I don't see how people thought Oregon would beat Auburn that year. Auburn had exactly what was needed to stop Oregons gimmick offense which is even more gimmick than this years Auburn offense, Auburn had the beef up front to disrupt Oregons little pulling offensive line, and if you do that you will beat them and it has been proven time and time again. 
The difference here is FSU is a completely balanced offense with an offensive line just as good as Auburn's line, best WR core in the country going against a putrid defensive backfield, and that is where the problem will occur for Auburn this season

The SEC will 8 peat ..book it.Jimbo Fisher isn't a great coach while Gus is one of the best.FSU will score a lot of points it just won't be enough.I still can't believe a Nole fan is using the Auburn/LSU game and the last year Clemson/LSu game to cap the Jan.6th game.Auburn isn't even the same team that played LSU.I don't think Jimbo Fisher is even a Top 25 coach.Last year, I got messages from FSu fans/alum pleading for Auburn to hire Fisher because they didnt want him.I don't even think Winston is significantly better than Marshall.FSu s toughest game was Clemson who couldn't even keep it inside 2 touchdowns with South Carolina .Take the points and Run.To the FSU fan who said Noles are superior in every positionthat is a joke.FSU wouldn't even beat Bama.

It does matter that Auburn is from the SEC.  As with all SEC teams that play in the championship game, Auburn benefits from having played tougher competition throughout the season, and that usually pays dividends in big games like this.  In other words FSU will not be a significant step up in competition for Auburn, where as Auburn will be a huge step up in competition for FSU.

Just take the OVER (whatever it is) and call it a day.

100% agree.

As I'm not proclaiming an Auburn win but Auburn and FSU has had Top 10 recruiting classes since 2010.

What other team has FSU faced this year can say the same thing?

Big step up for FSU but arguably a step up for Auburn.

Either way, points, points, points!

I don't think anyone questions Fsu having a great team.They are absolutely LOADED with talent all over the field.Auburn will pretty much have to play even better than they did in the Iron Bowl and not turn the ball over more than once.When I was managing a health club in Auburn I got to know Jimbo Fisher 's wife pretty good and Ive never known a woman talk football better.The Fishers are terrific people , but I just don't think he is a great coach.Maybe eventually he will be, but Gus has a chance to be one of the great All Time college football coaches.He is maybe the best IN GAME Coaches Ive ever seen which I think might ultimately bring Auburn the Title.

Com'on, now the 1st person-type FSU references?  From your FSU players standpoint, pls give us more in-house intel as to how Jimbo and staff see the upcoming task at hand.  Are they hesitant re: defensive approach, are they confident enough to stick with the normal, base D, do they plan on playing clock-ball or do they immediately go vertical, etc...

You really need to start that "Noles Lock" thread, since its so clairvoyant.  No one placing coin on any game has it figured out until post game...not even if point shaving is in place.  This is truly a tough one due to a multitude of variances that make it hard to compare common ground, foes, styles, etc...

Ok, I'll let up .  I just see BHN as a diehard FSU fan that is extremely excited and proud of the upcoming opportunity that FSU has (and rightfully so after many off years), along w/hyped emotions that aren't best suited when wagering on sports. Seems as these post belong in www.tomahawknation.com.  Just ones free forum opinion.  

IMHO, I can see this game going either way, but do not see anyone getting shut down once the game jitters settle.  I said this before and will say it again, may either team not have to deal with any type of gangsta-related suspensions during the extended lay-off.  No Crimi-Noles or Barhawks.

Don't know where u got that.Auburn was very fortunate to win the Iron Bowl.I do think Auburn has improved alot even since the Iron Bowl.
