Duke at Wake Forest only -16.5

Am I missing something? VA killed Duke 48-0, Wake beat VA 37-17. 

Why spread so low -16.5 Wake

I think that the general perception by "Joe Public" (year in and year out) is that Wake and Duke are usually fairly even rivals in the ACC, and that has held the line down a little.  But Wake is just really good this year and Duke sux.  The only thing that scares me is Duke is extremely inconsistent.  They might play well this week but I still love Wake -16.5 here.

Duke played Ga Tech Coach...Wake beat UVA...Like Super Chicken said, the public perception, the talent, the coaching, is relatively equal, plus its a rivalry game...I am on Wake as well...But, you are wise to question it if you perceive it to be insufficient.  Is Wake a top 15 ranked potential CFP candidate, or is it a fraud, that is about to be exposed?    My bet is in on Wake, but this could be a 10 point win and non cover for Wake or a 35 point blowout.  With these 3rd and 4th tier P5 teams, you never know what you are going to get...GL 

Wake is giving up 207 rushing yards per game, even with the 7-0 record.

Dukes lead back Mataeo Durant is an absolute workhorse, 166 carries, 850+ yards and 9 TD’s on the ground. Early success running the football can makes good offenses sit for longer periods as well. 
I do believe Wake rolls and wins by 2+ scores but probably some reasoning behind the “trap game”, “fishy” line feel

the week before duke almost beat Georgia tech and outgained them …

could see them hanging in there because of wakes defense

Not tryin to talk you out of it, think Wake could cover that number for sure and have some motivation to get a big kill here .. any 7-0 team has to be thinking about bolstering their CFP resume with UGA looking like the only real sure thing.. clearly showed up at Army not looking to eek out a win .. I played overs a few diff ways last week mainly because Wake's run D is not good giving up 210 to Ville then 350 to Cuse then 415 last week .. skewed a little because of the extra possessions wake's pace causes but it was 5 to 6 yds per carry raw stats the last 3 weeks .. if we adjust out sack yds wake giving up 5.5 y/carry on the season which I suspect ranks them at least 100th for rush yds/att ..  Army the only real unstoppable run team they faced but never shut down anyone either including ODU or Norfolk ..  That was easily the most efficient Army offensive game I can remember and Wake D got a huge dose of it .. 83 plays .. wouldn't surprise me if a few Wake defenders are suddenly out last minute .. 

clearly wake can cover this number but Duke can also hang in there .. if we're keying on UVA would note the dukes missed the early FG and couple early picks and UVA was way in front duke had to get aggressive passing and going for it on 4th by Q2 .. duke w 7 turnovers if you count TO on downs ...  think best move if playing is see if any roster surprises at kickoff and play it in game only if we first see wake's D is not looking like a sieve again .. either way good luck w the play bud 

I'm generally on Wake, but Duke is a very underrated team that hangs tough. I would take a look at team totals if I were you rather than the spread.
